It was back dated to the date he failed so he is really only suspended until May I think it is. Richie has also tweeted out he's battling depression so he's using the suspension to get all the help he can possibly get so that's a positive.

Joined the Darts Society at Uni last month and started playing again regularly for the first time in a good few years. We have a league system (home & away, best of 3) with the winner receiving £300, 2nd £200 and so on. After a slow start the first couple of weeks (lost 3-0 once and 2-1 four bloody times), picked up two 2-1 wins last night from my two games - best I've played so far. Went out in a shade over 20 darts and chucked in a cheeky 140 to boot which was rather pleasing. Happy to finally be off the mark victories wise - I've been playing well up to now practising, but when it's got down to playing a game 'competitively' as it were, I haven't been able to translate it.

Bloody enjoying it though, forgot how much I enjoyed playing.

When I was at uni in Nottingham we played in some tinpot league where matches were the best of one leg (pointless) and you could stand at a shorter distance than the regulation (stupid). So you had local blokes standing a foot closer to the board and banging in 12/13 dart legs (but refused to play from the proper distance because "I won't be able to hit the board from back there" (so you can't really play then)) and your game was over within a minute or two.

Load of nonsense.

Intercounty games on Sunday, I can't see myself getting anywhere. Sam Hewson, who played Scott Waites at Lakeside in January will be there I'd imagine. Don't need to be playing people like that with the way my darts are going.

Good to see Andy Fordham back, shame to see him pile so much weight back on though. He's gone from dropping from 31 stone to 14 and then gaining an extra 10 stone to go up to about 24 stone. Hope he gets back to looking like a melted candle asap.

Christ, he looks enormous. I was under the impression he was far slimmer these days, he actually makes Lewis look svelte. Did great there though, a 99 average and throwing a 180 with his first TV darts in 10 years was a great moment. He could win a couple of games in his group looking at that, though he was shaking like a leaf throughout.

I'm better than this Oosterhuis fella.

He is absolutely woeful. Just beaten 5-0 again and he still hasn't had a shot at a double in the tournament yet.

I've grown to love Chisnall over the past year. Think he could be my favourite now Baxter's off of the scene.

Oosterhuis is hilarious. He's there on merit but is so far out of his depth.

Sam Hewson, who played Lakeside against Scott Waites earlier this year is playing for my pub team this Thursday, should be a laugh when he puts in an 11 darter or something against them.

Chizzy beaten 5-1. Pretty poor from him tbh which I didn't expect. God knows how many doubles he missed early on.

Still through to the next round so maybe not really at his best/fully focused?

Anderson left himself with too much to do early on but Webster played out of his mind there hitting those doubles.

Wade in being a petulant tosser shocker. Despite Sky's commentators believing the sun shines out of Barney's arse, he's got form for these types of little shenanigans on stage. Wade should be experienced enough to rise above it but he got himself all wound up.

They did that last year. It's only for the duration of the world championships. Live coverage when it's on, re-runs of the days play when it's not on live, plus a few 'Darts Gold' type shows where they show classic matches, which they show throughout the year anyway.
