With Chizzy and Wade out already, Adrian Lewis provisionally sitting outside the Top 16 if he doesn't have a good run at this tournament, Taylor retiring, and Klaasen and Huybrechts slowly slipping down the rankings, I can't see how too many are going to keep their places in the Premier League when it returns next year!

MVG, Anderson, Wright, Gurney, Barney and Suljovic (if he wants his spot this time) are definitely going to be in, and I think Whitlock will be as well, so that leaves 3 spots for everyone else. Lewis, Chizzy and Wade will be considered again, but the likes of Price, Cross and Smith have to think they all deserve it more, especially if they do alright this month.

Paul Lim into the next round. What a game that was between him and Mark Webster.

The first 6 you said will definitely be in. I think Whitlock gets a spot also and I can't see how they can deny Cross a spot in a transitional year.

2 spots left after that. I think Lewis may get one just based on the fact it's Adrian Lewis and they'll want names for the Premier League, plus nobody else is jumping out for one. I could possibly see Chisnall getting in as he's never disgraced himself in the Premier League.

Hard after that to pick anybody out. A good run to the semis of the Worlds could certainly be a catalyst for involvement.

Lewis will get in. Like him or not (and I certainly don’t!) he’s a big name and they need them to sell tickets. For years now Barney and Wade have been getting in on reputation only and Lewis has deserved his spot, now he’s on a barren run of form, he’ll feel like he’s owed some loyalty by the PDC.

I know Suljovic is a good player but watching his throw is pure AIDS.

Anderson takes the 1st set but not in convincing fashion.

Paul Lim misses D12 for a 9 darter.

That would have been amazing.

Gurney knocked out is the biggest shock yet IMO.

MvG was lucky there. He should have been 3-2 down to Price, with Price playing out of his skin it would have been hard to see him losing.

Quarter finals tomorrow.

Afternoon:
Van den Bergh v Cross
J. Lewis v Webster

Evening:
MvG v Barney
Anderson v Taylor

Taylor's eyes will be lighting up now with Anderson having a bit of an injury and he'll be praying Barney does another job on MvG.

Final set decider - Den Bergh done well to fight back from 4-2 down.

Can he complete the job?

Well this has made up for the dull matches so far. He was inspired, what a comeback but he just couldn't finish it off. Fair play to Cross, I doubt anyone thought he'd win that last set the way the match was going.

Barney literally chucks the first set away.

And gifts MvG another one.

That 96 from MvG at 1-1 final set was fucking immense under the pressure. If he doesn't take that out then I think Barney wins the match.

Almost certainly an MvG v Taylor final then. Quite apt really.

I reckon MvG will relish the chance to finish Taylor off for good. You can just picture Taylor's childish, embarrassing antics already. He'll be trying every trick in the book in that one.
