IT IS DONE.

On October the 12th 2013, the day after I came home from a holiday in Dubai, Pokemon Y was released and I got it on launch.

On February the 3rd 2015, I have finally just got around to beating the Pokemon league.

This is probably amongst the longest it's ever taken for me to finish a game.

Now to finish off that last mission of Fire Emblem...?

I'm about to play some BF Hardline Beta. Never gonna buy the full game ofc, but it was so much fun with a few mates last time round.

Still so much fun with a squad of 3 or 4 but ffs fork out for some better servers. 32 tick in 2015 is taking the piss.

Just finished the second episode of Game of Thrones. Not as good as the first one but still well worth playing and sets things up nicely.

Just downloaded it. Really enjoyed E01. IGN only scored this a 7, is that a fair reflection??

Not played it yet but watched that review and the whole thing seems to be 'not enough happens! It's all character development' which makes me laugh because IGN basically spend all their time telling you to treat it as a playable TV experience and 'that's what makes Telltale so unique' and then they go and criticise it for doing exactly what a second episode of six would do. They can't kill a main character off every episode (GoT doesn't after all) - and it seems to progress the story enough by introducing the wall and going across the narrow sea (or whatever it's called).

I agree. It's what Telltale are good at afterall. I think it'll be great.
It's really good they've got 2 franchises running simultaneously, as E02 of Tales From The Borderlands should be out soon too. If anything I found Ep1 of that better than I did Ep1 of GoT.

I'd say a 7 is probably fair, maybe an 8? Does a good job of building character and intrigue. I feel I fucked up a couple of things which may cost me in the long run and I'm really beginning to hate that fucking Lord Whitehill character for all the right reasons.

Played GoT episode 2. Thought it was fine to be honest, on par with the first but without the big end moment. I think it did a really good job with the choices, I had to think about all of them really as every option seemed viable - and I was surprised only 7% of players did the same as me at the end. Done a good job of making all the characters equally interesting too, there's no real lull in the story - even though Mira's is easily the most fun (just like in the TV show really, King's Landing stuff is always the best).

Disappointed I didn't persuade Eleana but I can't be bothered to rewind it back that far and it always ends at the same point anyway.

I decided to run at the end yet the next episode trailer showed the coal boy talking to Mira about Damien being dead...surely that's a glitch? There's no way he over-powered and killed him after I fled, hoping so anyway, don't give a shit about coal boy

Got Life is Strange and Grey Goo on steam recently. Life is Strange is an episodic game like Telltale games. It's quite enjoyable in a slightly different setting. Playing as a teenage girl in a university setting in America. It's sort of a mystery game with a rewind mechanic. Not sure if it's on the consoles, but if it does well on the PC I'm sure it'll arrive soon.

Grey Goo is an RTS by former Westwood guys, more in the C&C style rather than Starcraft, and I am just terrible at this now. I used to be good at it. Having to play on easy mode just to progress :(.

I've been playing the Battlefield Hardline Beta. So far the game seems like a massive improvement on the last Battlefield.

You're off your rocker mate, it's another poor game littered with the same problems as previous games. Still manages to be relatively fun at times, mind you.

Bought the first episode of Life Is Strange on PS4. As you say, it's clear they've taken inspiration from Telltale Games.

Still, I rather enjoyed it, different enough from a TT game to stand out. Decent graphics, and loved the soundtrack where you're in the school corridors before the
shooting in the toilet
and Max has her earphones in.

Looking forward to E02 in March.

I didn't notice any issues to be fair. What did you find wrong with it??

Same things wrong with BF4. 32 tick servers, random hit detection, trade killing, OP explosives, lag spikes, random frame drops, AK is god-like again, movement is dodgy, maps are full of daft choke points, driving is just plain bad, far too much ammo with the stinger etc.

It's loads of fun like, don't get me wrong, it's just massively, massively flawed like BF4 was. If it were £20 on release I'd definitely pick it up just for teh lulz you get playing with mates.

This is cool AF though...

Sounds like a glitch, aye. That's a bit shit. I've been having freezing issues whilst playing on the Ps4 as well but it's playable (and certainly enjoyable). Can't believe you ran though! Bad human.

I convinced Elaena as well. Swag for days.

I don't really keep an eye out for faults when I'm so engrossed in the game play so I may have missed those points!

Let's hope they hear the feedback and sort some of them before launch at the end of March.

Pretty fun game, think I got 35 hours or so out of it (I tend to stretch things out, though). Pretty much no replayability, sadly.

I was envying you playing through FFX and then you said "cloister" and suddenly I didn't want to play it any more.

Also, unrelated to 1FF but related to cloister:

That mother fucker was just a Gastley hiding in a shell and everybody knows it.
