You can avoid that whole section!

And yeah, fuck those cloister of trials! Especially if you missed a destruction sphere...

First time around when I was around 13 I absolutely couldn't do Macalania temple and had to look it up.
Second time I played it I was 23 and did Macalania temple instantly. Bevelle and Djose temple I couldn't do.

Don't worry, I lied. I forgot the book is in there. Still, they're dead easy to avoid if you pay them no attention.

1.6 is so dated now. Even Source looks like someone wiped shit all over my monitor nowadays.

Source was a shit game tbf. So much fun, but shit. I mean, you shouldn't be able to to dis in a competetive shooter...

:fl:

I never really played 1.6 or Source for any great length of time but I've played the shit out of GO since it came out.

I loved source, me and my mates played loads of it - I liked the italy and dust type maps but I gave up when my mates started going on weird servers with those waterfall maps and stuff.

I went and got dragon age inquisition, and just done the part where you team up, went with the mages and then killed the boss that sends you trough time. Currently level 8.

Didn't play the other 2, but am getting my head around what's happened so far. Will probably buy the first anyway as I hear that's a great game, not so much the second though.

A good game I feel, not as good as skyrim, that will probably top open world games for a while but this is pretty good too.

DA:I blows Skyrim out of the water for me. A much more approachable game, and IMO sets the benchmark for games of the genre to live up to.

As I've said in another thread though, can't wait to see what Bethesda come up with on the new Tech in the next Elder Scrolls.

Good fun really. The more I get into it, the more fun it gets, I may buy the main game.

Valiant Hearts. Brilliant little game for £12. Love the art and even though tge puzzles are easy the setting of WW1 and the story set within it is quite emotional.

So Evolve is pretty fun!

Been addicted to it so far. It's unique as fuck and a heck of a joy to play.

If one of your team mates is shit though, it can really drag the entire team down... had a guy playing support earlier who looked as if he'd never played the game in his life. Was the only one left with the monster and a fair distance away... but rather than stay away and let everybody come back, charged right at the thing shooting it. Then it chased him down, after a while he remembered he could go invisible... and started to get away... and then just hid behind a rock, rather than getting the fuck out of there. The fuckin' monster can smell you, you pleb. So his invisibility wares off and the monster heads right to the twat and finishes him off.

So yeah, generally having a lot of fun right now. In fact, that game above is the only one where the monster has actually won so far that I've seen... had some close ones though when the monster gets to level 3. Unlocked all three of the hunters as well now... after reading about how shit it was supposed to be unlocking everybody, I actually found it to be incredibly effortless.

My one concern is that I do see it being a bit of a Titanfall in the long run. Great now, but will I still be playing it a month from now? Who knows?

I had fun with the Evolve beta, mainly playing as one of the hunters. My main problems with it (aside from the usual moan about another console port running like shite on PC)... the price (£60 for all the content, u wot m8) and replayability. It got incredibley boring after 10/12 hours play time, which isn't a lot really.

Also, I think the main point of Evolve was to produce a competetive game. No idea how that's gonna work as it's not exactly difficult to master.

Just played Episode 1 of Life is Strange. If you tend to like narrative driven games like Heavy Rain, Beyond and the Telltale games, you'll love this. I enjoyed Heavy Rain, loved the walking dead and thought Beyond was a bit all over the place. Life is Strange is definitely up there with the best of this genre I've played. I love the whole rewind aspect, it really makes every decision important as you can see the short term option with both decisions and then have the complexity of whether which is the better choice longer term.

The characters are all very easy to remember, which I'm impressed with for a high school based game. There are a few side characters obviously who may slip the mind but main character wise, I could tell you all their names now a few hours after playing it. Your character is also very likeable. I'm kind of rooting for the geeky guy to turn her head as well.

The story has only just really got going but there are so many questions I want answered that I'll be coming back for more when episode 2 is released. Superb.

I'm definitely gonna buy this once all the episodes have seen release. We have the same taste in games, Lee, so I think I'll end up liking it.

Like Cas, I think Ill wait until they're all out. Heard good things, but I hate waiting. Never touched either Walking Dead or Wolf Among Us until I had every episode.

Speaking of which, went back to Walking Dead 2 this week after a bit of a break, halfway through episode 4. Also completed Guacamelee. The last gold medal challenge I couldnt do where you have to throw the chicken is an absolute bastard.

Bought Game Dev Tycoon from Steam in the sale a while ago and finally got around to playing it last night.

Got hooked and completed it in about 6.5 hours.

It was alright.

Just beat Shadow of Mordor.
Took about 20 hours
Final mission was probably the easiest final part of any game I've ever done? Final boss with like 3 QTE's? The fuck?

All the boss fights in it are shite to be fair. Which wouldn't be a problem if half the warchiefs were quite tricky - just makes the top guys look a bit weak. But yeah, the whole final section was exceptionally easy...still a pretty cool concept though of taking your own army over with you.
