i think he'd do well for someone as a box to box cm, unfortunately he played that role for about half an hour in 4 years with us. can see why you think he's gash, cos he is fucking gash on the wing. looked a real talent in that box to box role with toulouse though.

He's spoke to Ancelotti and as a result wants to stay, you won't get him.
Don't think there is a lot of truth in that imo. But we will see. I don't see how he plans on getting into that Bayern first team. His positions are taken by very very good players.

They'd only be stupid because Lukaku is one of the most overrated players on the planet*. First touch like a baby elephant and goes missing in the big games.

What is it about Belgians and being overrated? Courtois, De Bruyne, Januzaj, Vertonghen, Fellaini when at Everton, Benteke when at Villa . Is it because most of them play over here? Belgian Chocolate is overrated too.

*second only to Hugo Lloris.

Think you're overstating the importance of buying back. If United bought Pogba back for double the fee you mention for Lukaku, would it really be bad business? Depends on the player.

The quality of the player in question was factored into the post. My opinion of Lukaku being inconsistent and overrated had been posted more than once on here.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Apparently Pep is a huge Cypress Hill fan and is keen to add to De Bruyne with his interest in Leroy Sane and now Tom Ince for his ideal front line.

Ince Sane & De Bruyne

According to Croation news outlet, Jurgen Klopp has called Ante Coric, 19 year old Croatian who plays for Dinamo Zagreb, and invited him to visit Melwood. Liverpool are apparently ready to offer 11-13 million for him.

Never heard of this kid until today. Went on youtube...ik ik its youtube..but kid looks amazing. Puts our academy kids to shame. Must be pretty good if Spurs are also willing to offer 10 million for him. Read City are also interested in him.

.

It comes down to Real and whether they'll make another attempt, and if they follow it through this time. Then we will see how serious De Gea is about wanting to stay.

Would be the same as a massive transfer if Utd get to keep him. We can't get anything past that bastard.

Porto winger Yacine Brahimi is "very close" to sign for Liverpool, who're making a close to €60m offer.

Never heard of him...

Good dribbler, likes a free kick, someone I'd hope we'd go after if it didn't mean an exodus in January (ACN time). He's no Mahrez but nevermind eh!
Excessive price tag though. Well when the likes of Slimani at Sporting are supposed to have clauses around the early 20's mark it looks too much. But I suppose Porto like a fatter cheque.

I'd also have thought the Algerian winger most would be linked with (Mahrez aside) would be Feghouli cos he's on a free.

He shits on all your current widemen. Though that's not all that difficult I know.

I doubt it's the last we'll hear of Goetze transfer this summer, Mario having a year left on his deal and all. Dunno about to us but I reckon it'll still play out over the summer with clubs across Europe being linked, which will be great for us all!

Rather we get in a LB & CM asap now though, then a rapid (left footed plz) wideman/am/forward/whatever. Started well though, with Grujic, Matip & Karius all here.

Can't see there being much in that, not at that price. An area we should certainly look at though.

The Independent are now reporting that Mourinho wants to sign Benzema. I can't see it. Why would he join us? He's at the peak age for a forward and is at the biggest club in the world fighting for the Champions League season after season. Ibra makes much more sense as our absence from the Champions League is kind of offset by his age and desire to move on from PSG (along with the appointment of Jose) coupled with the fact that not many other clubs both a) have a spot for him and b) can afford his wages.

A Manoo fan claiming another club is the biggest in the world; well I never...

200.gif

We are only the biggest club in the world for five minutes after we've made a new signing and he is obliged to trot out the phrase in an interview! We're up there but you've got to consider teams like Real, Bayern and Barca as the real MEGAPOWERS these days - with the history but also the contemporary success/dominance to hold onto the claim.

You're up there financially and have done great business brand-wise; but are miles and miles behind those other teams on success on the field though and that's what makes a superclub imho. Biggest in the UK by some distance though.

Man Utd in for Manolas for £30mill.
Jose wants Willian (£60mill).
Arsenal in for Koulibaly.
Juve want £38mill for Morata from Arsenal.

Top 3 would be good signings, don't think Morata is worth £38mill though.

Rummenigge stated today that Götze broke up the contract negotations with Liverpool at the very last moment. Bayern had already accepted Liverpools transfer bid for him

Bayern's CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has refused to give Gotze any guarantees.

"I had talks with him (Mario) and (Carlo) Ancelotti. Mario knows the thoughts of Bayern," Rummenigge told Kicker magazine. "Everything was clearly and seriously explained to Mario."

"He knows what the club thinks and what the new coach thinks. Mario has to evaluate for himself whether he wants to play constantly."

Low said that Gotze had received offers from elsewhere, but he “wants to prove himself” at the Allianz Arena.

“I’ve been in constant contact with Mario and he’s kept me informed all the time,” he explained.

“He’s had a long talk with Ancelotti and I think a few falsities were said about that.

“But a coach can never give a guarantee and he told Mario that everybody starts from scratch from the start of the season under him.

“Mario has had offers, but I always felt he is in Munich with his heart and he wants to prove himself there.

“He told me he wants to stay in Munich and take his chance with the new coach and I think that’s a fine decision because it’s what his feeling tells him to do, so it’s the right decision for him.”
