97th min penalty for Crawley.

Two penalties in the game. I would give both but I've seen both waved on with nothing given.

The Walsall keeper needs to smoke some weed to calm down. If he had come out normally to punch the ball clear Walsall would have won. Instead he decides to take a running, flying karate kick jump through the back of Tunnicliffe to punch the ball !

To be honest. If you told me this was a bottom of the table clash I would have believed you. It was total crap.

Nadesan cleared the ball off the Walsall line in the first half. Nichols forgot he was a striker in the second and passed the ball to the keeper. Walsall's Lavely had a decent overhead kick onto the bar. That was it. Could have slept through the rest of it.

7 minutes added time because Walsall did too much time wasting and upset the ref and Tunnicliffe was hurt when the keeper went through him for the pen.

Norman flapping at it again leads to us conceding a free kick we concede from. He's been good but the last ten minutes he's really started flapping

Diabolical from Norman. I’d expect Mansfield will go on and win this now. Have put the Real Madrid game on as I’m done with this shower of blue shit.

Love your optimism. Is it that bad at Walsall atm?

I don’t think you guys have quite got used to the level of optimism in division 4.

It’s normally bordering on the footballing version of suicide!

Haha. As spectacular falls go we have to be up there. Consecutive relegations, nearly out of business, having a kids team at the start of last season for first few games. But yeah it must be hard. We may be stuck down here for years. I hope not but this season is gonna go down to the wire

would be good if the ref just put up 0 minutes of injury time so we can end this now

Yes. 1 win in 15, sold our only source of goals in January, haven't scored from open play for 6 games, have a rookie manager, and have 1 clean sheet in 26.

Only positives we have is that our injured players have only just started to come back with our best player hopefully not too far away from returning, and that Grimsby and Southend are worse than us.

Great win, almost forgot what it feels like to be giving out praise and not slagging everything about the club off every week.

We do look like a half decent team when our strongest players are actually on the pitch. We’ve had to play too many crap players week in week out and swap the team every week due to injuries.

Whatever happens, something has gone seriously wrong this season. I can’t believe that we’re actually in this position and in a relegation scrap. I was more confident than ever this season that we’d be challenging at the too.

We are still on that run...And weve beaten Cheltenham and Salford... and we have Exeter, FGR, Morecambe, Newport still to play ..? Can’t only beat the bottom sides when you’ve got virtually all the top sides left to play. In fact you are the only team we haven’t beaten who we have played twice in that top 9...
You have got 17 points from 14 games against current top 12 teams. 40 points from 21 games against current bottom 12 teams. Since January the 1st you have got 7 points from 6 games against top half teams and 24 points from 9 games against bottom half teams. You only have 3 more games against teams in the bottom half. Win them and thats 66 points. You need to improve your average points against top half teams by 100% to get a top 3 place.

Didn’t realise it was that bad tbh. 1 win in 15 .. ouch. You’ll end up beating us now

The meltdown from some Cheltenham fans on Twitter is truly outstanding. Including one person saying Duff is a poor manager.

From relegation dogfight to top of the league - what a shit manager he is...

I know I keep banging on about it, but the only question that needs to be asked is why we struggle to get up for games against teams near the bottom? Even when we've got something against them we've made a meal of it (Southend a couple of weeks ago, and 0-0 at home to Mansfield for example).

Absolutely shite. Both teams were.

That was a game where whoever got the first goal should have seen it out easily, as not much at all was happening in the game. To get 1-0 and then commit such a brain fart of an error is appalling.

Piss poor. Pissed off with the constant disappointment from this club.

It’s hard to break teams down who play two banks of 5. Scunthorpe and Walsall done it to us recently.
One we lost and the other we won due to a wonder striker in the 95th minute.

Grimsby are now effectively ten points from safety, so it will be interesting to see how they respond tomorrow night.

Will they come out revved up like lunatics, or simply give up ?

It’s both great and shit to support your local club (even when your local club isn’t close at all and is technically man utd)

I always think choosing mansfield must be like a kid in a music shop looking at all the musical instruments in the orchestra and picking out the triangle

That’s it totally different side with Montano, Oyeleke and Worrall, Pope to return soon. Keep them fit we will be fine. We’ve been getting better most weeks and been unlucky lately so it’s finally come together and hopefully can build on this.

As my uncle says - it's easy to support a big team, but supporting your local team and actually being a part of it is so much more rewarding.

Obviously I can only base it off our two games, but you look like a team that can play nice football but have no answers to opponents that have come to scrap. Tozer being out fought by midget Luke James summed that up...
