Still a very full Tues schedule with most teams playing, but I guess the midweek games will ease off as teams who are behind in their fixtures will eventually catch up.

TUESDAY 7TH MARCH
  • Barnsley v Portsmouth
  • Cambridge United v Morecambe
  • Cheltenham Town v Lincoln City
  • Ipswich Town v Accrington Stanley
  • Peterborough United v Shrewsbury Town
  • Wycombe Wanderers v Fleetwood Town
  • Plymouth Argyle v Derby County

SATURDAY 11TH MARCH
  • Barnsley v Plymouth Argyle
  • Bolton Wanderers v Ipswich Town
  • Burton Albion v Wycombe Wanderers
  • Charlton Athletic v Accrington Stanley
  • Exeter City v Lincoln City
  • Fleetwood Town v Port Vale
  • Forest Green Rovers v Bristol Rovers
  • Milton Keynes Dons v Cambridge United
  • Oxford United v Derby County
  • Peterborough United v Cheltenham Town
  • Portsmouth v Sheffield Wednesday
  • Shrewsbury Town v Morecambe

Sexy promotion/relegation clashes of the week:
Argyle v Derby
Barnsley v Argyle
Franchise v Cambridge
Bolton v Ipswich

Our games:

Fleetwood (H).
It's safe to say the new managerial era at Wycombe has not got off to the best start, with one defeat and a draw so far.

Our faint playoff hopes evaporate further with every point dropped, so I feel that every team who comes to us, sticks 10 men behind the ball and hits us on the counter has a chance.

Genuine promotion contenders should not be changing anything about the way they play at this point, but in our case the new gaffer is trying to stamp his ideas on the team, so it;s a terrible time to be bedding in new ideas - and I think teams will be able to capitalise on that, we look a bit disjointed at the moment.

So - a good chance for Fleetwood to nab at least a point, I'd say, they can play without pressure since all they have to worry about for the rest of the season is the enduring glory of the Mid-Table Trophy®
.

Burton (A). Well this lot seem to have stabilised somewhat since the death of the Jimmy Floyd era.

I've been impressed with Ahadme every time I've seen him play. Plus they seem to have shipped in what on paper at least look like decent loanees from a higher level. Sam Lavelle was supposed to be coming to us at one point - decent player.

Don't like how they've just been dicked 4-0 and will want to put that right.

We need to be getting 4 points from these games as a minimum. Whether we will actually do that, I'm not so sure.

You could be playing against Ainsworths QPR next season at this rate, another loss for them today.

Big game is Argyle v Derby in midweek then Bolton hosting Ipswich on the Saturday.

We face a resurgent Pompey down at Fratton, tough task ahead of us again but 21 unbeaten breeds confidence in the players and we have every chance of finishing top of the table by 5pm on Saturday

yeah, that is one relegation six-pointer they would not want to have lost. 7 points is a big gap at this stage (to the last drop spot) but their GD is shite and they have the worst run of form in the league - plus that club always feels like a fucking basket case in terms of the way it's run.

Edited my "sexy fixtures" to include Bolton v Ipswich, how the fuck did I miss that one... :ffs:

Tough game away at Pompey, doesn’t get any easier with Bolton then Barnsley after that. If we get through these next 3 I might finally feel confident about winning the league!

Our home form is pretty good at the moment. However, we've now lost Ronan Curtis with an ACL and he's out for the season. Mousinho had just started to get the best out of him so this is a huge blow. Might not see him again in a Pompey shirt as he's out of contract in the summer.

Barnsley away on Tuesday. If we play like we did yesterday in our lucky win at Cambridge we have no chance.

Lots of travelling for us this week down to Cheltenham and back, then Exeter on Saturday. Not sure whether we've arranged to just stay down there or not.

Cheltenham first, and like us, a low scoring side. The bottom half of L1 seems a low scoring one full stop in comparison to other seasons but I haven't got anything to back that up, just a hunch.

The game will probably come too soon for Jackson so he'll be absent along with Eyoma and Walsh, which leaves us light again in defence - we played a central midfielder at right back yesterday. Virtue is out as well. Doesn't sound like we picked up any injuries yesterday but it'll be a case of managing minutes between this and the Exeter game.

Hopefully can back up yesterdays win with some points also at Fleetwood. Seems an eternity since we played them on the opening day. Like us they’re pretty much locked in to be a L1 club next season. Obviously they made a couple of big signings up top in January so will see how that plays out. Only real concern for us (outside of our goalkeepers) was Garrity went off injured yesterday and unless he is really hurt he never does that.

Looking at the other fixtures this week from that I reckon if Cambridge are to survive they need a minimum of 4 points from those games otherwise I think it’s curtains for them.

Agree - actually think we might need 6 points from the two games to catch up and with Accy's games in hand.

I'm resigned to relegation tbh

Two good performances in a row have drastically improved the mood around the club. Hopefully we’ll keep a settled team and probably only see Stansfield start instead of Harper. Collins is looking good in his more advanced role, while Kevin McDonald has been superb by showing his class and higher level experience. We’re defensively solid too of late but need to start being much more clinical.

Not sure what to expect from Lincoln…they don’t seem to score too many (a bit like us), so this could be decided by the odd goal.

Should be another decent crowd of 6.5k ish. Fancy a 1-0 win.

We simply have to follow up Saturday's performance. Lincoln will be tough, but we're decent under the lights at Whaddon Road. A chance for a bit more breathing space would be lovely as well.

That being said, I think it'll be a draw.

Peterborough away.

Play like we did first half against Derby on Saturday and we’ll get mullered. Play as well as we did second half and we should beat the Posh.

Think it’ll be a high scoring game with both teams going for it. Impossible to predict the score on this one though tbh.

I’ll go Peterborough 2-2 Salop

Massive game Tuesday night, if we get through these 3 games with 6/7 points that’ll be brilliant.

How is Paddy Lane settling in ? Can't see him starting at the moment but trust he will establish himself and become a really good player for you

I will happily settle for a point right now against Wikum. Below par performance at the weekend and expect a number of changes. Hopefully a draw 1-1

He's been eased into things slowly, and looks decent when brought on from the bench. Pretty sure he wants to play wide right but Owen Dale has that place locked down at the moment and so we haven't really seen him in his preferred position. Dale is on loan so probably won't be around next season and Paddy will take over there.

With the Curtis injury, most fans would prefer to see Lane play wide left for the rest of the season. It was interesting that Mousinho preferred the highly disappointing Dane Scarlett out there on Saturday. Maybe Paddy will get a runout there at Barnsley.

The thinnest sliver of a play-off chance will disappear unless we take 4 points from Barnsley and Wednesday this week. This looks unlikely. We're around 3/1 in both games.

Mousinho has done well to at least get us in this position from where we were when he came in. 13 points from the last 5 games, but this is a huge step up in quality.

There's nothing official on the website, but when looking to buy tickets on the website there are no blocks showing any unsold seats.

I have faith in you Cambridge.

Win tonight then get back to losing, you know it makes sense.

Normal formation for us but 4 defenders in the squad, and of course all of them have to start. Can't name a full bench.

No Jackson, Walsh or Eyoma as expected. No Roughan though and Plange can't play because of the number of loans we already have in the squad. Virtue on the bench, which is a boost albeit I doubt he's got more than 25/30 minutes in him after 10 weeks out.

Barnsley already 2-0 up. Getting themselves on quite a roll lately. Don't think anyone will want to play them in the playoffs.

Cambridge got the start they probably needed.
