I definitely think number of draws should count in your favour if the Mid-Table Trophy ends in a tie, this is excellent commitment to mediocrity.
I concur, and as an added layer of mediocrity, in 34 games we've scored 32 and conceded 33!

Massive result for us last night. Schuey's super subs changed the game again and I thought we deserved it on the second half performance.

My inkling is that Derby will be playing in this league again next season, don't fancy them to win the playoffs going by what I've seen.
Huge result. If you get something at Barnsley on Saturday then you are set fair for promotion. Very favourable run of fixtures to finish. Even if Ipswich carry on their form they may struggle to close the gap.

Wouldn't write Derby off for the playoffs. Plenty of time for them to play themselves into better form and Warne is a savvy manager.

18 draws in 34 league games!

7 clean sheets in 10 now, just don't score enough (or create a massive amount either).
To be fair depending on how many are out of contract it leaves you less to do in the summer to go to the next level, have the foundations of a solid back line and midfield so add that creativity to turn draws into wins and could do well next season.

Obviously the only downside is that's the most expensive area to sort out!

Another game down and another three points at home. First half we struggled with Derbys high press but second half we proved why we are one of the top sides in the division. Pen was slightly dubious but we will certainly take it.

Pressure is completely off on Saturday against Barnsley now but after a confidence busting week it sure would be nice to get something up there.
Slightly dubious -- You mean totally dubious as it was never a penalty in the first place.

He goes down easily but you can't really tell from the video whether there was contact or not to be honest. Stupid of the defender to dangle his boot out...just force him away from the area. Always run the risk when doing what he did.

I think their squad restrictions and age of players will see them run out of steam.

We'll be losing the 7 loan players and have 8 out of contract (some I'd keep, some I wouldn't), so 15 in total and that doesn't include the likes of Adelekun and Vernam who we'll probably look to sell, too. It's a mix of the end of the start Appleton's squad and the early stages of Kennedy's at the minute.

We could potentially lose 80% of our current defence.

I'll start the annual 'keep and get rid' thread in a week or two.

No I meant slightly dubious hence why I typed “slightly dubious”

Is there contact - yes
Was the contact enough to topple him - dubious.

The issue I see with Derby is that there squad is pretty thin and with an ageing squad the run in is only going to get tougher and tougher. Not sure they simply have the legs this year but who knows

Its never a penalty in a million years! You'd always take it though for your team of course!

Hmm It was soft but you do see them given. Of course I am talking completely from a neutral perspective

The penalty is a shocker.

Looking at Plymouth's fixtures, and our form, it wouldn't surprise me if one of us misses out with 95+.

Onto Fleetwood Away for us, generally a good away ground for us in the league with only 1 defeat when Slew's stupidity cost us with a red card, one of my favourite away days was the 5-2 win there under lights with Louis Dodds wonder goal topping off a clinical performance, but on the downside our last relegation was at Highbury when Anthony De Freitas missed a sitter to keep us up in the 93rd minute in a 0-0 draw!

Sell out away end and a difficult one to call, Vale have produced some good performances on the road with the better pitches but haven't been able to get the results, dominant performances at Morecambe and Bolton produced no points and sucker punch defeats so need to keep the levels but be more clinical. Vale are now fully stocked with strikers following James Wilson's return last week adding to the return of Harrison and Taylor so have plenty of forward options now and with each game fitness should improve.

Both sides are closely matched in the table and neither score many so could be a tight game with the odd goal either way, hopefully Fleetwood's hectic run of fixtures plays into our hands and give us an advantage.

Win for either side probably ends any threat of relegation so hopefully we can nick it, point wouldn't be the end of the world though and need to start being harder to beat and getting some momentum after a win last weekend.

For you guys to get to 95 you would need to get 26 points from the 33 available. Highly unlikely considering your run in and your current ppg

Bit bored of the 'lucky Plymouth' narrative re deflected goals, a soft penalty, 'they didn't deserve to win but somehow they did' which we've seen peddled generally by the bigger clubs who've spent more money yet find themselves beneath us in the table.

These things all even out over a season, we lost Cooper and Scarr to long term injuries after 20minutes of the first half of the hardest fixture of the season. Also had a soft pen given against us last week. Some very dodgy non calls for fouls in the build up to opposition goals, best outfield player also left in January, Azaz was out for 3 months. The list can go on and every club could make their own list for every season.

We'll finish exactly where we deserve to finish after 46 games on nothing but merit.

Last night was a tough one to take. We were the better side on the night and almost scored a late winner just before Peterborough clinched it themselves. We then had a stonewall penalty turned down in injury time (no doubt we’ll receive yet another apology from the incompetent FA). Don’t take your chances at somewhere like London Road and you’ll likely get punished eventually.

Onto Saturday and it’s Morecambe at home. Need to make one or two changes to the starting 11 from last night and hopefully Bowman or Street come in for Bloxham. Really can’t see anything but a comfortable home win here, or atleast it should be.

Salop 2-0 Morecambe

Lincoln at home on Saturday has mid table mediocrity written all over it. 0-0.

To be fair to Plymouth they should have had a blatant penalty against us on Saturday so it evened it itself out pretty quickly.

Port Vale visitors this weekend and I don't really know how to call this. Fleetwood 2 successive defeats, no goals in either games. Don't expect the Cods to lose and could just sneak over the line by the odd goal. Great away following by Vale so should be a good atmosphere

Disagree completely - we're bang in form, haven't even conceded a goal in the last five games. Which matches do you anticipate us dropping points in? Barnsley and Bolton? I'd be amazed if we don't get to 92 at the minimum. Yet I don't think that will be enough for top two.

You're bang in form against the sides you'd expect to be bang in form against yes but you've won once away since November and your record against the top 7 this season is not great.

If you get 26 points from the last 11 with some of the trips you've got coming up then fair play to you and I imagine we'll be in the playoffs!

Would surely be a record if you finish third on that.

I know we managed to miss out and lose the Play Off final on 89 points in 1992/93 (MK did the same total last season) which must be about the record high for failing to go up in the third tier?

Any Barnsley/broader Yorkshire based fans know if the game on Saturday at Oakwell will be in jeopardy due to the snow or perhaps more importantly freezing temperatures?
