For any Rovers fans is this going to be the first time DC has managed a team at your place since leaving? Suppose it will probably be a less hostile reception than from Walsall. At the end of his post match interview today Dennis Politic has said DC already told the players to don’t dare lose this one.

Going to be hard going especially now as we are down to Rodney and Politic as forward options. My guess is we’re going to rejig things slightly and move Gibbo to the right and one of Benning or Jones on the left so can play Worrall in a more forward role.

Big game at SJP. I love these games under the lights though.
Looks like Nombe is injured, so probably an opportunity for Amond.
Think it will be tight, we have scored and conceded in every game since the middle of September so probably 2-1 either way.

Massive game for us, this. Really need a win to get back on track after our dismal results away from E10 recently. Swindon are the best away side in the division, but we’re tighter than a nun’s chuff at home; only 5 conceded in 15 home games. Hopefully we’ll crack their egg in the loss column.

It’s certain defeat for us obviously. We are the simplest team to beat, just score a goal and its game over, whether that is the 10th minute or the 89th, there’s no coming back.

But looking at the other fixtures, I’m fully expecting our brief venture out of the bottom two to come to an end on Tuesday night. Scunthorpe and/or Oldham will get something from their fixtures i think. We could well end the night bottom and it would be exactly where this shower of shit belongs.

Mansfield 3-0 Carlisle

Well we've won 2 away games all year so I am not holding out much hope, the only slight hope is that both those two wins came on evening games.

If we lose to Hartlepool next weekend we will go a calendar year without winning away on a saturday, just end this club now.

Got a suspicion this one may be the one we get turned over. Looking for our 9th away win a row in all comps. Be more than chuffed to keep the unbeaten tag intact. Looking ahead the weather is supposed to be foul Tuesday evening.

We've now won 8 or 9 on the bounce away from home which, much as I would like to think will continue, wont. Having said that I will be delighted with a point on Tuesday. Expect Crichlow to return in defence for Rob Hunt

Having said that we have history at Orient as our last appearance there was the best performance of our last championship winning campaign. Looking forward to the 11:40 out of Swindon and an afternoon of a few pints and a pie and mash!

Brilliant cup performances aside we absolutely must get a minimum of 4 points out of these next two homes, Rochdale and Scunny, ideally 6 but I'd settle for 4.

I'd imagine we'll line up the same as we did yesterday, Sterry is back but I thought Regan Ogle was fantastic yesterday and it'd be really harsh to drop him after that, also good to see Timi back in the side, yeah he's prone to drop a bollock out of nowhere but I feel like we need a CB who has sheer pace on his side.

Odusina has all the attributes to have a solid career but no manager has been able to get the consistency out of him. Maybe Nelse and Lee will.

Agree we could do with at least 4 points from these next two games. But I'd always have Sterry in my XI.

Tough one this. Bristol Rovers seem to have found a bit of form and are always decent at home. Our striker injury situation is ridiculous. We have only one true forward and he's more like a wide player. We just need to hope that people like Gibbons, Conlon and Garrity continue to contribute.

Going to be a tough few games before January.

That form table doesn't make good reading, and can't see us adding any green to it this week. Salford have got their act together a bit lately, and usually beat us without breaking sweat.

We had to move this game so they could be on TV (again) today - wouldn't be too sad to see them pick up some injuries...

Normally I'd agree on Sterry and he'd be the first team on the teamsheet normally but I think you should play players in form, Ogle's come in and done really well, doesn't deserve to lose his place in the starting eleven for me even if the replacement is better, probably will though.

I will agree the form table is grim.

I think our performance away at Walsall will depend on the state of our physio room. Do we have a fit left back? Any of our centre backs available? Any more of our midfielders ready to play?

If we were all fit and playing well I could still see Walsall winning so unless we have learned to jump up and down on the line I can't see us getting anything. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Coldham away on a winters night. Micky seemed very downhearted after the Orient thumping when none of his tactical adjustments worked. If we’re to be in the promotion mix really need a win with a difficult trip to Exeter next, but wouldn’t be a total surprise if we reverted to a hard to beat 1 up front line-up.

Newport County away for Sutton. The closet Sutton league game I’ve had in the decade or so I’ve been in South Wales.

We’re a little patched up at the moment, Issac Olaofe came off in the first half of yesterday’s cup defeat at Bristol Rovers. We were only able to name 6 subs yesterday (too few for Exeter obviously).

We’re a hot and cold team, either winning or losing. We don’t do draws (unless you count the Pizza Cup game against Stevenage which was decided on penalties), and haven’t had a draw since Scunthorpe away towards the end of August.

We’ve not been playing well for a few weeks really, so it could be a tough night

If Sterry could stop crosses coming in he would be no where near Hartlepool.
I think his strength is down the flanks, And has one hell of a strike on him.
Think he,ll be back in the team though.

And i,m greedy, I want 6 points.

Sterry is a really good one on one defender but when you play 5 at the back teams are gonna target the flanks more. I actually reckon it's Ferguson who leaves the most space out with players getting in the channel between him and the LCB.

Sterry is at the minimum a top end L1 player. Ogle has potential but he's not a regular starter for me.

We had to play Bowery and Lapslie as wingbacks in the second half on Saturday, plenty of doubts and Hawkins is suspended so may be a bit of a weird team Tuesday but we should be OK considering how well we played in that second half yesterday. 7 wins in 8 so gotta have some confidence against a struggling side.

Exeter away which will be a tough game. We’ve had a 10 day break whereas Exeter have played 5 games in 15 days, hoping that our extra freshness will give us the edge in a tight game. Our team should be back to close to full strength with Guthrie and McWilliams back in, and hopefully Etete has shrugged off his hamstring issue as he’s been absolutely class for us recently. Would never believe he’s a 19 year old loanee.

Got to beating the likes of Scunthorpe at home. Come on the Boro. We now have the best manager in the league so onwards and upwards

Lance Stoe/Scunny Pacifist is back once again, great news for the L2 forum.

We've mixed our teams up a lot so we won't have too much fatigue, although Nombe being out is going to be a massive miss as we don't have a replacement for him

Swindon at home who have the best away record, against our decent home record.

We've been very comfortable at home and been finishing teams off by scoring 3s. 4s and one 5, which we can't seem to do away!

This will be a decent test for our young side, will be a close game. Wouldn't be shocked if ended 3-3 tbh.

Be 2 young sides, then. We seem to have a brilliant 15-20 min spell followed by an all piss and panic spell where we easily get run through and then rinse and repeat in the second half.

Boils down to whether we score more goals in our good spell than we concede in our poor spell.

Should be a tight affair. Was going to say that we are pretty much at full strength other than the long-term injuries but club has just announced that Telford has Covid so wont be playing.
