Zero effort from us today, Lee has us setup in a crap formation that doesn’t work for the players we have but that doesn’t excuse the players total lack of effort.

Don’t expect any favours from us for the rest of the season, we’ve downed tools.

Absolutely poled Walsall. Should have been about 5 or 6. Fuck knows what went on between December and February.

We were absolutely shite. But credit to Rovers who were very good, full of energy and aggression but also plenty of ability in that side. First team I've seen where you can't really question their league position.

As for us, roll on the annual summer clearout.

What a pathetic shitshow if a performance that was from northampton good lord, a fucking shambles.

No football, no quality, just falling over all the time looking for set pieces.

They fell foul of their own ridiculous tactics with a red of their own.

A dominant and deserved win for mansfield.

Deserved win for Mansfield. Stupid from Paul Lewis the silly fucking c***. Field Mill fairly silent for 70 minutes until it got a bit tight.

Exactly what Joey barton said. Awful team that he wouldnt pay to watch. God knows how they have been at the top most of the season

Our form is nowhere near what it needs to be at this stage of the season. Add to that we’ve now got two of our key players missing for 3 games. Other teams around us have games in hand as well. Just can’t see it unfortunately
You're up against Bristol Rovers next though, win that and you'll be sitting pretty

Pathetic performance but a point I’m happy with. Any half competent team would have won that. To concede that 2-1 goal against ten men was absolute schoolboy stuff, you have to see it to believe it.

It's League Two mate, at least we fought back and got something late on against another top 7 team.
Don't forget that this shower of shite were top of the form table last weekend.

If this was a couple of months ago we would have got beat easily.

Gutted to lose that one as it's the best we've played in ages. Yes, the equaliser probably shouldn't have been allowed but Vale absolutely battered us second half and the second goal was always coming.

I suppose the fact that we were much more combative and up for it than in previous weeks is a positive, but to play reasonably well and lose is never ideal.

Vale the best team we've faced at home, I reckon, and dominated in the air. Ref was frustratingly shit, and looked like a couple of good penalty shouts for handball, but we had our good fortune in the first half when Vale struck the post and the rebound came off Farman's back but stayed out.

It's gonna go down to the last game for us.

Beyond delighted with an away win against one of the chasing pack. Obviously would have liked a few more of our rivals to slip up, but it doesn't matter if we keep winning, and happy to have some daylight between us and the melee.

I said if we're still in the top 2 after next Saturday then we're going up. It looks likely now, although I'll obviously be following Mansfield and Vale with interest on Tuesday

Had 0-0 written all over it. Neither side created anything of note. We had a couple of half chances first half and a little bit of quality in the cross for the Exeter goal settled it. Exeter neat and tidy without creating anything. Must win for us at Swindon next week to stay in with a chance of the play offs.

We were terrible today, felt like a pre-season friendly at times, flat performance with no urgency whatsoever, could still be playing now and we wouldn’t have scored.

Roll on the end of the season if that’s how it’s going to be going forward. Shite.

Uninspiring again.

Its clutching at straws but County do keep having these poor spells throughout the season and somehow have turned it around when they have looked shite. A big task for Rowberry to turn this around now.

We looked and played like a team of players who have their eyes on contracts elsewhere next season, Ferguson to Harrogate was the one going around the 1908 Bar before kick off.

What’s pleasing today is despite injuries and a shockingly poor first half we’ve dug in, kept going and ground out a late winner, it’s a very un Vale win but the type we’ve bemoaned that promotion contenders tend to get a result in.

Big game Tuesday, win that and we should really consolidate a top 7 spot and would probably be two wins off securing that.

I thought we were the better side against Carlisle pretty much throughout. However, Breakspear clearly could not handle the idea of our ten men battling to a deserved victory, so decided to issue a second red which was even more inexplicable than the first. Absolutely disgusting refereeing performance.

We were a lot better with Kieron Morris back in the side, but he is now suspended for three games. MacDonald will miss four games.

The positive for us is that the two strikers were excellent and are both under contract next season. Nevitt continues to develop at a rapid pace.

Patrick looked a decent player for Carlisle.

Love to know what the Grimsby fans saw in Anthony Glennon, unless they were taking the piss. Worrall had more space today than he's had in his whole career and the lad couldn't deliver a pizza.

What are Vale's thoughts about us compared to Stevenage, Oldham? Seen a lot of comments over the season that we have a decent team but don't really see the basing for it to be honest.

Was at one of my local non league sides today… heard a FGR fan was expecting a 3 or 4 goal win… you must have been bad if we restricted you to a single goal

Breakspeare`s performance today was without question one of the worse, if not the worst, I have seen from a referee in the FL since I started watching football. It wasn`t just the sendings off . It was the inconsistency of it. He let some challenges as bad as he had red carded people for go without a word. He booked both managers either of whom got involved in the pushing and shoving that went on after the McDonald foul. Mellon didn`t move out of his box and Simpson`s only involvement was to help a steward who had fallen over back to his feet. On that showing the guy simply can`t be allowed to ref in another FL game for a lot time, if ever but pound to a penny he will be back in the middle next week ruining another crowds Saturday afternoon.
