Maybe Guiseley should offer to replay the game, like Arsenal did v Sheff U back in 99?

Let me see if I have this right.

Braintree player goes down, but Braintree carry on and carve out decent chance.

Guisley stop the attempt and also play on, Braintree players call for ball to be put out but Guisely decline,as Braintree previously did.

Braintree regain possesion and then put the ball out.

Guisely restart with a throw and score from it?

If that's right, and that's how it was told to me, then fuck Braintree, they had possession when their player was down but opted to keep playing and then only wanted the ball out once their move broke down. Fuck 'em I say, all their own fault.

Shameful performance from us today, deserved a battering really. Better side probably would have inflicted it.

Twice you've said that after playing us. Maybe more a case of we're too good for you so you don't get much of the play. We could have scored plenty but like all season finishing lets us down.

I wont bite because you've probably got a point. Our defence is rock solid, but we still create very little. That handball on the line at the end was flying in though, I count it as 2-0 ;)

We were misplacing simple five yard passes under no pressure at all, that's not you being too good for us, it's us being ridiculously poor.

You were better and deserved to win, absolutely no doubt.

Agree, McNulty was excellent for you, calm and composed and reads the game so well.

I actually wasn't looking for a bite, we should have been beaten far more heavily.

That aside, a win next weekend vs Gateshead at home and we're back in the driving seat. Game against Dover also a big one, have to feel 6 points from those two and we'll be in the playoffs.

Last 10 games = 22 points, several more than all the other playoff challengers, FGR aside.

Fair enough, I thought I could see a fishing rod! I did expect more from Chester, I'll be honest. As an aside, how was the attendance only 3,400 odd? I thought it held 6k or so, no way was it just over half full.

Well since the away end was converted to seating it's down to about 5.5k, but there still didn't look 2k spaces to me either. Harry Mac nowhere near full mind you.

Chester only really turn up when we play them (more than can be said for our players).

I'm sure theyve done this on purpose.

Chester late candidates for the drop? Only six points clear, and it feels like they've been terrible pretty much all season.

Summer will be interesting for Burr.

He will relegate them again and they will get off again due to someone going into admin. He hasn't been a good manager for quite a few years now and he's done fuck all with them bar turn up for 2 cup finals a year against us.

Doubt it, might have agreed before picking up those four points last week though. We've got enough poor teams to play at home and our record against the bottom half lot is pretty good.

Write off of a season mind you.

Well after seeing the video I now think we should have given a goal back to Braintree. Norburn wasn't shooting but he did overhit the ball back to their keeper. It didn't seem that way at the time though so I can see both sides to this.

Most Contraversial Goal Of The Season
Certainly got people talking.... is now a trending video on YouTube.

Adam Mekki was the best player on the pitch by a mile.
19 year-old Sam Hughes for us.
I'm afraid Steve Burr's one supporter has gone quiet after that abysmal display.

That was really easy... we could still be playing now and Chester wouldn't have scored. No idea how the officials missed the handball on the line but still. McNulty and Jennings were class.

Cheshire police got totally carried away for this one, i arrived for work 1k from the ground at 9 this morning, the town centre was full of police and there were vans everywhere , pubs in the town centre remained closed!!

Restricting the capacity must have hurt chester in the pocket and undoubtedly the extra policing costs including the ridiculous use of the police helicopter will be passed onto the poor old seals.

I checked my fixture list to Ensure it was the tranmere supporters who have garnered public plaudits from aldershot for their behaviour during the tribute to their deceased supported whick included initiating a round of app, ause for the poor old chap or some joint leeds and millwall team was visiting the walked city.

After the game every road around the ground was closed to get supporters away , then the police just buggered off leaving traffic chaos around the greyhound area, our customers didnt bother leaving the store as it was pointless they couldnt get anywhere.... I must have made about 30 coffees.

Absolute madness from the police today

Although obviously disappointed that they've decided they're going to go for the Conference North title 2017 this late in pre season, I'd like to officially welcome Chester to the fight.

Agreed, it was bizarre. Dogs, all sorts of special units, helicopters... all for 1,000 Rovers fans. We're not even that badly behaved! We've got one or two numpties, but we're not Millwall.

I could understand it if the reverse fixture had been a headache, but all I remember from last time was families and fans mixing, drinking and munching the free hog roast.

That was a really solid display from us today. Make no mistake, Chester are in a relegation battle. They were comfortably the worst team I've seen this season today and they somehow managed to play worse than they did at Prenton Park (and they were crap that day). McNulty, Jennings, Hughes and Mekki were all really good for us.

Someone said they had drafted in 190 extra police for this, it was madness. What have we done to deserve that reputation? As it was, didn't see an ounce of trouble and so it was all needless. Good little away day, but The Lookers Vauxhall Stadium is quite soulless really.

It's nothing new, Cheshire Police have long been useless and it's a right pain in the arse them being so as it doesn't do us any favours. The last time we were in the League they were moving games against Shrewsbury and Port Vale to Sunday at noon. They won't even allow us to sell tickets the day before a game like yesterday. They even brought the chopper out for Southport the other week.

You were very good to be fair but you should have won by a far greater margin than 1-0, outclassed us everywhere on the field. I'm pretty gutted tonight to be honest, it was pretty hard to watch that today.

Down these parts I think we only get charged for extra police inside the ground - extra costs for the 'copters, etc. are down to the local council tax payers (I think).
