I got what you mean - was making an unfunny joke as the way you wrote 3/7 read like a fraction. Top 3/7 would be top 10
Yeah too highbrow for me that mate, I'm from Stockport.

I can forsee Tozer being torn a new one quite regularly. Also, not really fair to call your wide men wingbacks is it? Barnett and Forde are proper wingers, Mendy is a bit more defensive but is far better at the top end of the pitch for me. Playing with so little cover in wide areas is just asking for trouble.

I'd say that McFadzean and Forde are more your traditional full-backs, Mendy and Barnett are your traditional wingers. It's pointless playing with full-backs when you're playing teams who are struggling to get into your half, but I think there'll be less of that this season. Of the four, Barnett can't defend and McFadzean can't attack, the other two have been excellent at doing both; Anthony Forde was simply brilliant earlier in the season.

I'm on the fence about Tozer; he's a bit ponderous and error prone, but he does seem to keep stuff organised. Will he be first choice with O'Connell, Hayden and Tunnicliffe all fit? I'm not sure.

Either way, any weaknesses anywhere on the pitch will be reinforced with pound notes, you can guarantee that.

Kyle Wootton has just won our fans’ and player’s of the year awards so anybody you think you’ve got on his level in your squad should be more than fine.

Smashing player Wootton, was really sorry to see him leave but he fully deserved his chance a division higher.
I would say Palmer and Bostock in midfield, Chicksen ( strictly as a defender) and Baldwin and Langstaff and Rodriguess up front are of the standard needed. Cedwyn Scott, Cameron, Brindley and Nemane may be good enough but after four years in NL you tend to forget what top end of L2 looks like.
We need a keeper, at least one centre half, central midfielder, wide left and a tall strong centre forward I would say.

I would add Austin to that second list. Bajrami I feel like probably isn't good enough but may serve a purpose, particularly with the extra subs. Morias is the big unknown for me, if Langstaff stays (I expect someone will come in for him but we'll see) what sort of attackers are we looking at, is there space in the squad for 4 strikers if we're only ever going to have 1 starting games?

Forgot about Austin, definitely on the possible list, arguably a straight replacement for Rodriguess if he goes playing behind the striler.
I think we'll have to carry a bigger squad with having transfer windows again and as no striker at the club is proven at this level I'd definitely carry the extra one.

Chicksen? Now there's a blast from our past. Truly terrible for us. Didn't realise he was still playing

Reinvented as a wing back and scored eleven goals this season. He's far better as a straight defender in truth but he has had two very good seasons for us after a very rocky start three years ago.

Proper feel good story is Chicks, completely turned his career around. We signed him after a trial three years ago and then he barely played all season (and was useless when he did) and everyone assumed he'd be released and further drop down non-league. We switched manager with a few games left, he got a chance and has been extremely consistent ever since. He's spoken about changing his attitude towards the game at that point and starting to put the work in in a way he never did as a younger player. Bloke was back in the gym while the rest of the squad was drunkenly marauding around Nottingham the night after the play-off final haha.

Pretty much agree with this (plus Austin), although I've no real concerns over Scott, he wouldn't have been far off Langstaff's 40 goals if he'd got to play upfront for the season I don't think. If the latter does get sold then I'm happy with him getting his chance as the main man.

definitely, a deserved return back to the EFL for Notts , what a season they had pushed Wrexham all the way.

This century 107 points would have assured Notts Co the title. Only five team have secured more than 100 points and were all promoted. Of those it is odd to say that Crawley were the best gaining 105 title winning points in 2011.
