Thought it would be interesting to see a overall view on who will win the league!

Hope for Gary Johnson that Cheltenham win it.

Can't make predictions as I haven't seen nearly enough of the Conference this season as I had last season (with our little rivals Bristol Rovers being in it) but I hope they do it.

Cheltenham were my pre season tip and have done little to persuade me otherwise

Cheltenham most likely. Their squad is full of average to good Conference journeymen and is nothing compared to previous winners of this league. Luckily for them though they have the best manager in the league by a mile which helps.

As much as I'd love to win the league, I just can't see beyond cheltenham. They have the best manager in the league, and squad that is consistent

Be interesting to see what players are brought in, could make all the difference.

Humble pie time. Before the season started I just couldn't see Cheltenham doing anything, but they have been the only consistent team so far and I can't see that changing significantly.

I guessed Eastleigh would win it before the start of the season and I'm sticking with that. Doing well since the new guy took over with money to spend in January presumably.

Highly unlikely that Wrexham will win the league. Pretty decent chance of the playoffs, but so much depends on what happens in the transfer window.

Nice to see so many votes for us :D

We've been as consistent as I've ever seen us this season (our only two losses coming in injury time), and Gary Johnson is obviously a big factor in that. As others have said we have a squad full of solid conference players who've been there and done it, along with a few young gems (Munns and Waters in particular have been outstanding). Our loan recruitment has also been spot on with Phillips and Dickie starting regularly, although Dickie is now set to be out for around 6 weeks.

There is a long way to go but I'm cautiously optimistic we can keep it up, big few games against Alty, Kiddy x2 and Torquay coming up. I'm probably most concerned about Eastleigh given their recent form and the fact they were the best team to visit us this season, and Grimsby's form is also a little worrying. But, as long as we keep winning, we'll be fine!

Still think it's too close to call. Cheltenham have the best manger, Grimsby the best squad. Of the rest, Forest Green and Eastleigh seem best placed.

Cant see past Cheltenham either. They are the most consistent side and have the perfect blend of experienced conference players and young talent in their squad. Oh and the best manager in the league.

Cheltenham for me as well. It should be Grimsby in the play offs but I can't see that with Hurst in charge so it will be either FGR or Eastleigh.

Me too.

Although I haven't seen them play live yet, they still have to visit our place, I did watch their FA Cup game against Shrewsbury on the telly. I thought they gave a very good account of themselves, nice movement and good ball retention, better than any team I have seen so far this season. I rate McKeown as one of the best keepers in the league, they will do well to hang on to him when the transfer window opens. They are well led by Disley and up front boast Bogle and Amond, a pair of strikers who could grace many a team a division or two higher. After a few failures in recent seasons I think this may be their year.

I've voted Grimsby. As the biggest team in Lincolnshire they deserve to be back in League 2 where they belong. If they don't make it this year surely a different manager needed. Hurst seems to be the one weakness.

Grimsby cannot win the title, they have Paul Hurst in charge.

That Wrexham and Dover are included in this poll is an abomination in itself, I rate our chances higher, at precisely 0.5%.

Cheltenham all day long.

I agree ourselves and Dover are outsiders, and that Lincoln should also be mentioned, but how do you have a better chance than us? At least we've been involved in Play offs relatively recently. And our manager has succesfully got promoted in the past.

If we keep Taylor beyond January we've got a great chance of the play offs.

Past seasons count for nothing, it's this season we're polling on, no? Good manager, maybe, but he's already suffered a lot of key defeats against anyone half-decent.

We're also talking about winning the title, not making the play-offs, so my statement stands. Less than 0.5%.

Well I still think we've got a slightly.better chance of winning the league than Lincoln. But then again I don't think either of us have much of a chance.

I'm going with us, we'll strengthen in January I don't think Cheltenham have much to spend to improve. My girlfriends grandad was the director at Cheltenham until he sadly past away pump a lot of money into the club and have met the directors now and they're the biggest bunch of tosers and won't spend. The two best players I've seem at chelt Phillips and the defender are on loan which is always dogey too

I'm expecting alot from us in the second half of the season and think we will win it!

Are you just making crap up for shits and giggles?

Whilst Phillips and Dickie have been brilliant, they haven't been our best players either. We also don't need to spend much to improve. Our best business for January has already been done in extending the aforementioned loans. Recent experience tells us that when we have brought players in January it's broken up the unity of the squad.

As for the directors not spending, I'd suggest not spending more than you can afford doesn't make you a tosser it makes you intelligent. As for Rod Burge (the only director that has passed away in recent years), he is a Cheltenham Town legend who did so much for the club, but he wasn't the biggest investor (not that he didn't put any money in). If anything, he was one of the most frugal people at the club, as his tribute on the club website attests to - http://www.ctfc.com/news/article/farewell-to-rod-1520875.aspx. He was a director when the club was on it's knees in the early 90s and Paul Baker came in. Now he is someone who has pumped plenty of his personal funds into the club.

Honestly, I'm starting to think that I only really want us to finish top ahead of Forest Green this season. If we can stop the jumped up urchins from going up then it will make this season so worthwhile.

For what it's worth, I think that we are the best team in the division with the best manager and I've seen nothing to make me believe we won't win the league now. And I'm usually such a pessimist.

I still think we'll catch Cheltenham and i know we are going to strengthen in Jan, with some big name signings being banded around.
I think when it comes down to it, our squad is going to be able to cope better than Cheltenhams, as they seem to have a good 13, but there's not much behind that is there?
I'm sure that FGR will also strengthen, so for me its these 3 with Grimsby following on, then the 5th spot could be anyone of about 5 other teams, depending on who can go on a good run in Mar-Apr.

Lot of bullishness on here to say no one's looked anywhere near like running away with the league!
