You have to be cautious of any new owner, quite a few examples of fanbase getting carried away with a newish owner only for it all to go terribly wrong, my favourite example is obviously Notts County and Alan Hardy, who was pretty well defended by the fanbase from fair criticism by supporters from other clubs before he went off the rails.

To be fair, I’m sure Ryan Reynolds getting his knob out on Twitter would be much more accepted by the Wrexham faithful, Alan Hardy doing so wasn’t very popular in Nottingham.

Definitely not one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. Incredibly famous person yeah but he's not like Tom Hanks, Samuel L Jackson, Julia Roberts, etc. level.
Ryan Reynolds definitely not one of the biggest stars in Hollywood? Certainly not compared with that Grimsby director..Now what is his name?

I'm not talking about one of the biggest ever, I'm talking about one of the biggest now. He was the 2nd highest paid actor in 2020.

People these days don't want to watch the actors you mentioned on the big screen anymore, they want superheroes and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.
Nah, all those I mentioned are still way bigger than Reynolds. Samuel L Jackson is in all that superhero shit too, he was in the last Spiderman.

I don't think that highest paid denotes biggest, either. The biggest stars can be more selective with their work. Also 2020, not a great yardstick for obvious reasons.

Someone like Ryan Reynolds has far more to lose from making a total mess of things, though. Just PR wise. The only worry I’d have is whether they end up with too much focus on the marketing side of it (which will also be a bit cringey) than being a good football team in the fifth tier. But that’s a tiny risk compared to the potential upside.

That said, after the chaos we’ve been through with owners I’m quite happy with the quiet, unassuming Danish lads and their supercomputer. Biggest fuss they’ve caused in two seasons is changing from a manager to a head coach.

Stockport County.
I can tell you with absolute certainty that I am not bitter that Wrexham are being mentioned on the The Jimmy Kimmel Show.

I wish Wrexham well, nothing against them at all.

I also wish them well, but I am unashamedly jealous, bitter and twisted about it all and likely will never get over it

It's okay pal, we'll just wait for the next set of billionaires who'll come in for us.

Not sure why you get so defensive all the time when anyone mentions your new owners, a forum is about opinions and not everybody’s are gonna be the same.

Judging by his name, he only rocked up when Deadpool bought the club, and I heard nobody had seen Deadpool and Hollywood Red in a room together either. Make of that what you will.

He is definitely Ryan Reynolds.

Or Blake Lively.

He might be the same bloke who always posted your away following in weird lower and upper case 4 times after everyone else posted the number

I thought that I’d clicked on the tinpot thread there for a minute.

its a bit cringe isn't it? I dont mind the stuff Ryan Reynolds posts but it's the fawning nature of the Official Wrexham twitter account that grates with me.
In the parlance of the time they come across as a bunch of soy boys beta cucks.

They don't want to watch Reynolds on the big screen either, seen as other than Deadpool he hasn't done much on the big screen.

Second highest paid actor as you put it came from Netflix throwing money at him not big screen films.
Tbf I'm not arsed.

Who gives a shit? Getting promotion from this league is all that matters.

That's it, that's all the real lifelong fans want, who cares if you get mentioned on some US TV show, won't make a lot of difference on the pitch at Braintree will it.

The real fans just want success on the pitch and be a well run club that puts the fans first.
