Surely a highly ranked team in Wales, but lowly ranked in England
It doesn't say we are lowly ranked for a Welsh team though, it just says we're lowly ranked and we're Welsh. Or at least that's how I read it.

Can't wait for 'Wrexham Till I Die'.
Wrexham Is The Name will definitely be the name of the doc. Going to be mega.

Hopefully will star the Cowleys.

Who were the 1% against? Club men who are about to lose their cushy seat at the table?

Congrats lads and enjoy the ride, their first game as owners is against the team they wanted to takeover first :P1:

Keates is a member so he was probably one.

Was that ever confirmed? And why was it turned down?

Officially no but it was the worst kept secret going, it was turned down because our chairman found out it was Hollywood millionaires and wanted to wring them dry.

I never thought I would ever say this, but Rob McElhenney needs to bring over the ''It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia'' crew and do an episode or 2 in Wrexham.

Danny Devito roaming around Wrexham would certainly make for entertaining TV.

Yes they wanted to buy us as Chief Rocka says.

It was the Hartlepool - Deadpool thing they wanted to exploit.

Deadpool is ironically quite the reflection of the club. Will almost certainly be confirmed dead shortly unless someone dances to Raj Singh’s tune and buys us out. No one with half a brain would pay the money he wants though.

Can’t see any kind of future for us.

That’s too bad. At least one of the brothers look set for exciting times ahead.

The way this year is going, and with our existing financial obligations its highly likely we wouldn't exist in a year without selling, or at least be in a much reduced state.

Fan ownership was also driving a massive wedge between sections of the fanbase.

Other option is letting the club go bust and forming another club about 27 divisions down, like your lot did. And nobody wants an AFC Wrexham 2021 on their hands.

Shaun Harvey being involved with the purchase is bit concerning.

Fair play to Wrexham- it’s certainly an interesting story and it has gotten a lot of great publicity. As a big fan of cinematic classics such as X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Green Lantern and The Proposal I’m jealous that you’ve been taken over in part by their star.

In all seriousness pob lwc to Wrexham. I’ve met a few Wrexham fans watching Wales and they’re certainly a long suffering bunch. Obviously I hope the luck takes a break in a couple of weeks when we visit (and obviously in the return game at GGL) but other than that fair play.

Hope that the change of ownership works out, it will be good to play one of our localish rivals in the FL again.

It will be interesting to see who replaces Keates. Suspect the Cowleys won’t be showing. They’ve been linked with Rovers and don’t think that’s realistic either.

I think it would have done yous a world of good. It would have disabused you of the rancid notion that Wrexham (our most frequent opponent over our 120 year history) are some kind of sleeping giant, undeserving of their current status. It would have sorted out the wheat from the chaff among your fan base-you'd have been shocked at some of the "die hards" who quietly slipped away, some of them to magically re-appear when you got back to a level they could live with, but you have could enjoyed calling them out for it and watching them squirm.... unless YOU were one of those, huh, Dee-Dee?
