Hope a good few of our lot will be getting the early knocks on doors from the local constabulary very soon after last night! What a shit stain on an otherwise wonderful night!
That aside, I thought to a man we were brilliant. Everything we ask for from a Vale side, hard working, passionate...
No concourse behind the stand (think it's players gym currently) so no way for fans to get in/out safely.
Stunk the place out yesterday, the most Vale of Vale performances. Real shame the season has petered out the way it has. We've either had tremendous runs of form that are champions...
Only a red if denying a goal scoring opportunity, which it wasn’t.
It was a silly bit of decision making, wanted to let it run into the box to collect but should have dealt with it and smashed it away. Luckily we got away with it
Feel like I say this after every game at the moment but that is a massive result and a monumental effort! A bit of daylight between ourselves and 4th now, but I don't doubt for a second that the management team will get the squads focus on Saturday now and won't be resting on our laurels.
3-1 now, hopefully that makes it less nervy for us now.
Ben Garrity really has been an excellent signing, 10 for the season now, all from open play. Has improved month on month in terms of his all round game.
Think it'll be a little more than a coincidence is the sexman is sponsoring tomorrow's game at Tranmere. As mentioned above also a member of staff over there now was rumoured to have a special relationship with him during their time at the Vale.
Pure provocation if he's there tomorrow. Just...
Yeah we really should be looking for 3 points tonight after having another game postponed at the weekend. Expecting to see the same line up as started against FGR injury permitting.
Will go for a 0-2 win, Wilson to get back up and running again.
Yep agreed, it's a crowd/side that seem to feed off each other very much. That's why it was pleasing to see the lads bang up for it from the off, the crowd pick up on that effort and the place is lifted.
Good game that last night. We came out the blocks with the high press straight away which is exactly what we needed to do. FG got a bit rattled and didn't quite know what to do, a few arguments between themselves trying to figure it out. We deservedly took the lead and to be honest a second goal...
Haven't FGR got an open top bus celebration to arrange or something? Think this should be prioritised now rather than tomorrow's game. It's just the right thing to do
A terrible fixture for us to try and fix the wheels back on the wagon. Orient will be looking to avenge the reverse fixture and they have a pretty decent home record.
Would take a draw all day, but honestly I think we'll lose again.
