I actually didn't dislike Keates. I didn't mind him going to Walsall and I didn't mind him coming back. I think he did OK this year, but we can do better.

Be interesting to see who you go for, not really any obvious candidates if Mellon goes back to Tranmere.

I imagine we could offer him more than Tranmere could these days. It’s going to be a great job for someone if we have say a £3m budget for next season.

Thank you Mr Keates for your effort but you were not up to the job.
I am sure we will bring in a new manager very soon so we can start building a promotion winning squad

You can bet it will be a statement appointment. Given the ownership. It won't be some unknown.

That can go one of 2 ways. You either hit the jackpot or you get someone that thinks he's above this level and arrogant. You still need to know how to shithouse at this level.

I’ve never seen Keates interviewed until yesterday. I thought he came across as being thick as fuck so no surprises he’s a shit manager.

Who Wrexham get in will be a decent guide to see if the whole thing is a bit of a joke or the real deal.

Terry Smith is my pick.

American, knows the area. Talks a good game. Think he had a real affinity with the Chester fans during his tenure as well so will be good for the PR.

Could see any of those here in fairness. I would be surprised if we didn't at least approach Mark Hughes but I think he'd be the worst of those 4.

If anyone is wondering why Clough is such short odds, it's because our new CEO has come from Burton.

It'll definitely be some unknown from the German lower leagues, or someone managing in Scandinavia.

It's the trendy way to do things these days.

Some of the names on the betting sheet are brilliant.

For a cool 33/1 you can get Rob Page.

He’d have been ideal. Oh well, off to the Swedish 3rd division it is.

No chance of Clough going to Wrexham, it's too far from home.
