I don’t really see the attraction for Clough other than the CEO link, although even with that a big reason he joined Mansfield was due to our own CEO.

Is Clough even any good? What's he won?

I'm actually concerned they are going to go down the famous player route... Robbie Fowler is creeping up the odds...

It’s a big test isn’t it, whether they can avoid going for a ‘name’.

the odds mean nothing.

People were worried they were going to stick with Keates. Without going too HollywoodRed about it, we are a different club now. Management selection isn't being done by half a dozen blokes down the pub.

Yeah odds mean nothing. Right now at this early stage, I can go and stick a tenner on myself* and you'll see my name crop up on the list. And the odds are also quite often meaningless later on as well when all it takes is some chap down the pub claiming he has inside info (while telling everybody to keep it all hush hush )

ps - * or say twenty quid on Mr Harrison.

Gary Brabin would be a good choice. He signed a lot of good players for all the clubs he managed in the NL and they got promoted when they replaced him with somebody who could make a team out of them.

Yeah I'm hoping it's not him.

It'll be someone we haven't heard of, definitely.

Alright Gary, give it a rest.

Im enjoying the mental breakdown from a small collection of posters on RP at the thought it could even be a.....woman.

Who have they got in charge of making the decision? Surely they've appointed someone to make the call?

Lets be honest, those two won't have a fucking clue about any of these people.

Our CEO, Fleur Robinson starts tomorrow. Shaun Harvey is at the club in some capacity. When they appointed Fleur it was Harvey, Peter Moore and Peter Nolan associates who were advising so I expect its a similar group.

A knaa yous Vanni, your a canny lad so wot ad dee is stick yer life savins on us gettin the job like coz it's gonna happen coz Graham Norton told us and yer knaa he's a celeb and that so he knaas aal aboot that shite and am buzzin haha

So just for yous, well even though a knaa am a shoo in aal let yas in on what aal say tomorra when a do me pitch on ICQ. A cannit gan into geet details as a explained orliar so aal just put me handoot that aal handoot vorchally when a speak to Rob McKilty Shagga and Big Ry.

One of the reasons them were afta us like is the Ajax characta as its in Deadpool. When a wos at TNS we aalmost drew Ajax but we were knocked oot 5 rounds before they entad so a knaa what Ajax means to them gadgies. Aalso a knaa Deadpool was named after us in tribute to me time at Hartlepool which was dead sucsexful so aye a knaa wot it takes.

Me title is From Tinpot to Propa Pot - harnessin the powa of a stream to tinka aboot with a club to make them pure belta

(Fi yw teitl O Tinpot i Propa Pot - harneisio pŵer nant i tinka ar droed gyda chlwb i'w gwneud yn belta pur) if any of yous divvant knaa plain English.

A bit aboot streams - a knaa there's a new streamin sorvice aboot the club on Dave or wos it Comedy Gold a cannit rememba but big Ry is not one of them pedants for detail. Ave had bigga stagaz on Hospital Radio Rhyl so a knaa wot its aal aboot.

Streams are geet wata sources did yer knaa that? Reet anywayz they gan from up to doon which is exactly the direction them Yankee doodles want the club to gan in. Am a speshulist in that area like.

They hiv a current so to replicate that and keep the juicaz flowin on away games to post industrial shitholes. We (me and Big Mozza) will hoova the playaz backs to show how current works from up to doon so they aal knaa wot the ownaz and supportaz expect.

To help us win games did yer knaa that streams collect silt and sand bet yers didn't yer thick Doyles. Anywayz, we're buildin a stream on Cas Ras so deposits of silt and sand will make our pitch the second best in the nashunals ootside of Braintree.

Streamz aalso cause erosion and wot we wanna dee is erode the memories of the fat knackaz in the supportaz trust. As a wos sayin streams gan doon not up so a rapid erosion of the club doonhill is what we're afta.

Am busy lads am afraid there's more like how aal boost the bords team and wot a knaa aboot advancin the gin sideline but thems private man. A divvant want Macauley Culkin gettin wind of this and landin me job. So fingaz crossed lads and let momentum be on our sides. Ta ra for now.

Simon Bassey quits Barnet. The TK managerial merry go round continues, but even by his standards this one is a surprise..

The statement reads like Bassey has known about this other opportunity for some time and that he viewed our job as a stop gap. Wonder what it is?

Shame, top bloke and an experienced coach at this level. Hope he doesn’t overreach too soon. Good luck to him.
