Terry Smith is a prick.

American, knows the area. Talks a good game. Think he had a real affinity with the Chester fans during his tenure as well so will be good for the PR.
There I've corrected it

How many Manager/Caretaker Manager/Head Coaches have Barnet had in the last three or four seasons? Must be in double figures.

They'll be rivalling Southport for the number of managerial changes soon.

Simon Bassey appointed first team coach at Portsmouth.

I can't blame him for turning down the job here to take that.

Supposedly we've interviewed Mark Hudson for the job.

An appointment like that wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. At least we would have done our homework on him rather than just appointing someone because they used to play for us.

Strong record as Huddersfield caretaker! (Obviously that’s completely irrelevant, just made me laugh).

The funny thing is, some people have taken that record seriously and lost their minds over the fact we might hire him.

Pretty sure Huddersfield lost about 25 matches in a row spanning from PL relegation which then carried on into Championship. They were just a dead club then and lost every week.

It would still be a risk to appoint him IMO.

It would be a risk to appoint anyone who isn't Danny Cowley, Graham Alexander or Micky Mellon mind.

Kewell wasn’t too bad for us, albeit in a shit situation. He certainly managed to rub a few people up the wrong way. If he’d have stayed we probably wouldn’t have been relegated.

Can’t imagine him cutting it down here though.

Kewell’s biggest problem was being so completely unlikeable. Made no attempt to endear himself to anyone.

in what sort of way was he unlikable? Was it “Who are you, I’ve played in the Chumpions League” style of unlikability or something else?

He just seemed dismissive of everyone and everything - club, players, fans, whatever. I mean the state we were in he was probably right on the first two, but you’ve got to try and get people on side and he just didn’t seem to have any intention of trying to do that. Came across as extremely arrogant and distant.

I remember him making some distinctly odd decisions as well. Bury away stuck in my mind for some reason so I just looked it up - he played Enzio Boldewijn, Lewis Alessandra and Nathan Thomas as part of a four man midfield in a 4-0 defeat. Baffling.
