Ian Holloway might be tempted back into management :fish:
Do one! :told:
All joking aside, GJ isn't the daftest suggestion. I don't think there are any players left from his time and his motivational skills would be fresh to the current crop, SL loves him as well.
I'm not sure I would want to see him come back but you never know eh?

Would be worth it for Robbored's reaction, even if it backfires and doesn't work out at all.

Think we have turned a corner and should be looking to push on for the top half. Performances have always been fine but we have started getting a bit of luck and finding the net.

5pt gap between us and the relegation zone with two home games in a row, got to make the most of this month.

Wish all our games were away from home.

Back to back wins has certainly eased a lot of tension for us I think.

Another home game tomorrow, a point would not be sniffed at after Brum held Boro to a 0-0 draw at the weekend.

Closer to the play-offs than we are the relegation zone, that'll do...

Well we chose a great night to return to the form we displayed at home to Ipswich.
It was a great chance to pull Huddersfield into the mire and we blew it.

I have no complaints, Huddersfield were far better on the night and if we continue to play like that we can look forward to a swift
return to League One.

Luckily it was only a tenner to get in and well done to Huddersfield for putting on the offer, one major complaint though.
Why have the home fans switched to share the away end?
They are now a miniature Crystal Palace, using all their songs and complete with a very annoying drummer to boot.
I still have a headache now.

How are the protests going against your owner,City82 fans?
'Kick the rugby out The Gate'.
Sing it loud and continuously.

Got my banner ready for today mate. If that doesn't get the message across, I'll also be chaining myself to my seat until a contract is signed to get the Rugby back to The Mem.

That's pretty good but let's get the rugby into a ground of their own,eh,and leave the football clubs to play in their own grounds which are just for footy.
Make sure the owner of your club knows his ways aren't welcome.

That's an idea, I'll approach the owner during the game as well. He sits down to my right, so I'll give that a shot.

Erm, massive protests, absolutely huge!
Honest. :gmc:
You prob need to start thinking about pitch invasions now.
Don't leave it 'til next season when you'll have smaller crowds back in the third.

The fact we are only 2 points adrift just highlights the piss poor quality of this league.

Was saying it in the Shoutbox earlier, it's astounding how there are still teams around us, we haven't got going once yet this season, yet we're still within touching reach.

Some poor teams down the bottom this season.

7 points clear of the 'rellygayshon' (gotta love the Wolverhampton dialect) zone now. Kenny Jackett's tactical master class at work.

To be honest I think most of the teams up to about the play-off positions are poor/average at best. It's just there is about 5 teams far worse than the rest.

Right oh.
Thanks for the advice. Don't watch this space though.:bl:
No probs.
I care about football as a whole-not just my own club.
Remember: no rest 'til the rugby team have moved out.
P.s. You dropped like a sack of spuds through the leagues in the early eighties-a spectacular fall from grace which was pretty much replicated by Wolves a few seasons later.Bad that was.

I was there FP, every painful step of the way, including our potentiallly 'last ever' game before we went bust. I will never forget those days nor the days in the top flight that preceded them. Glory followed by outright pain yet the supporters stuck with them.
It's why I have a real problem with the club not doing enough for the Ashton Gate 8, players that tore up lucrative contracts to save the club in those dark days in 1982. That's a totally different issue though.

What the hells going on down in Brizzle CU ?

I thought you'd be pushing for a play off this season when you came up .. the momentum carrying you thru .....

I'm perplexed how a big city like Bristol, with no football rivals nearby to suck away support, cannot have a side in the top tier...

Cotteril looked a beaten man in his interview after your game against us ... but I'm not sure he's the problem.

I think the way we breezed up last season may have given some people false expectations TBH Lee. That plus the fact we massively cocked up our recruitment (or the lack of it) in the summer. That could be the fault of the Manager / DoF or it could be the board. We all have our theories. Bidding huge fees for Gayle and Grey were great for the media but they were never going to happen and we are woefully short in some positions.
While we were absolutely battered at your place, we have been competitive in virtually all our games. Yesterday was typical, we absolutely pummeled Charlton and had 20 (I think) goal attempts but only 2 were on target. We just can't finish!
Our owner has said he will back the Manager in January, some think that should be Cotterill, some don't but the crux of it is that we massively fucked up during the summer and our present position will only make decent recruitment harder.
Relegation, with the new stadium and the finances it releases, would be a total disaster and we can only hope we scrape to safety somehow. The owner has said, we will have the financial muscle to compete at the top end of the Championship post rebuild but it's definitely a very, very disappointing first half of the season for us.
All that said, this Championship lark is hard, really a lot harder than it was when we were last relegated. It's a really noticeable difference!

Wouldn't say we've been competitive in virtually all games. Rotherham, Fulham, Reading and Derby I can name straight off. At Wednesday we were also completely outplayed.
