Blimey, what an awful first half game of football at Prenton park this evening. Aldershot would of been kicking themselves at half time for giving such a daft goal away, good control by Norwood to get the ball down and a clinical finish though. Having Blisset in the team first half was like playing with 10 men, Chris Shuker used to win more in the air than him and he was half Blissets size.
Second half was pretty much all one way traffic. Another Jekyl & Hyde performance from Tranmere.
Well done to the 5-6 Aldershot fans who sang all game, pretty much created the only atmosphere in PP first half.

Just back from Forest Green, a draw just probably a fair result. A really sluggish first half from us followed by being on top for large chunks of the second half and several good saves by the home keeper kept the score down. A bit frustrated they scored with I think their only two shots on goal but it was a competive and fairly even game over the ninety. They were happier than us with the draw which tells it's own story.

Hate Hurst's favourite line which is "taking him out of the firing line" but I think Bogle could do with just that. He's started very well but up until being subbed off, unless I'm mistaken, he's played every single minute of the season so far. He could do with taking a step back because it's clear that he beats himself up far too much when things don't go his way. He scored 2 the other week and still wasn't happy because he could've had 4.

Happy with a point and delighted for our first clean sheet, hope that takes some pressure off the team now and helps to not concede silly goals. Makes Saturday very interesting now though as anything other than a win makes these past 3 draws look terrible.

That was our first performance of the season where we've played with our heads on for the full 90 minutes. We even had a shot on target within 15 seconds, and that was only from Bencherif! The man held up his record of being the most likely footballer to randomly fall over—if I were the club physio I'd treat him for vertigo—but he was pretty immense, as were all our midfield. I agree with the overall verdict amongst our fans: that was our best performance of the season. Clearly there's not as much going on in this side than the previous two seasons', but there's oodles of potential and ultimately a side that might just stay up. Unlucky not to record a win.

I imagine Goatshed are capable of playing better, but what matters is that we more than matched them. The fact we couldn't play nearly as well against Kidderminster, Guiseleeds and Southport has cost us five or seven points just in the last three, but I hope tonight wasn't a one-off. Our fans were very happy with it, enthusiastically clapping a losing side off at half-time, singing non-stop in the second despite our lowest home crowd in three seasons, and cheering them all off at the end. I'm glad the atmosphere was so positive because it complements the character this team do have.

Happy with that, much better performance and could have won it. 2 good sides, good battle and funny to have both fans chanting we are top of the league whenever a goal went in.

Carter did ok given he signed so late, and along with Pipe our midfield stood up to Cheltenham very well. Both teams will be up there imo.

Regardless of his height he'd be more of a hindrance than a help, you'd be better off just playing with 10 men.

We never win at Braintre and we never will. Lacked a cutting edge and two defensive mistakes cost us. Braintree aren't a bad side. Pass it a lot more than under Devonshire and Akinola is a good player, took his goal well. Difficult to see us winning at Dover in a similar type of game on Friday. Hopefully we can nick a point before heading into Southport (H), Halifax (A) and Torquay (H).

We scraped a win last night, in a very even game. Thought we played well, and to be honest, didn't think much of that Macclesfield side - can't really remember our keeper having a lot to do.
Not saying we were great either, but defensively pretty solid and had some good spells in and around the box. As predicted, it would all hinge on whether they could keep Cook quiet and for the first hour or so they did. Looked to me like he should've had a penalty too at 1-1. Moves up to 7 for the season, and we just need someone else to start scoring!
Think the official stat said that Macc had about 68% possession - no way did it feel like that, and for spells in the second half they couldn't get near the ball. Very pleased with the result, and fancy our chances against Kidderminster on Saturday.

Just 3 subs on the bench for us tonight.
What was the issue here? Injuries or can't afford players? It seems strange that a club at this level can't fill their bench.
Strangely we had four attacking players and a keeper on ours.

Total thuggery by Alty's no.4 and a very weak ref earned Alty a point.
Not sure how your guy who scored didn't get booked for running over to coop and giving it the big one as well.
Thought Rhead's header was in from my angle but he would never of given that, hit the woodwork for the 7th time in 3 home games.
The 'challenge' on Sparrow seemed to throw us off track for around 10 minutes and during that spell Alty managed to equalise while we were dozing at a corner yet again.
No one close enough to Rhead to get to his flick ons and knock downs for my liking yet again.
The ref let so much go on our players it was laughable

Both; we have a small squad and have several injuries to key players. Not that that's an excuse for last night, it was the same team that beat FGR at the weekend except for a change at CB (and Diagne did not have a terrible game), we were just shockingly bad with absolutely no game plan. Didn't think you were very good either but then no team has impressed that i've seen (missed Cheltenham away), definitely wanted it more and were quicker/more physical around the ball and you should stay up no problem.

Feels like the team/fans/everyone is suffering from a hangover from the anti-climax and disappointment of the last quarter of last season.

I'm starting to wonder how Chris Moyses works with these players defensively on the training pitch, because we just stand there like statues at set pieces. It's happened time and again already. Yes the referee was an absolute coward last night and Alty's players are street thugs, but ultimately it was the static defending again that cost us two points.

Bottom half Conference club forever.

When he was here he was used quite well and I rated him, Bristol Rovers way over paid with the reported 50-70K but i'd take him back now in our position

Don't get me started on fouls, Cheltenham committed 20 last night we committed 6 both teams got two yellow cards each do the maths...

One rule for one team another for the other team.

Reffing is at an all time low in this league!

Surely the amount of fouls don't really matter in the amount of bookings, unless it was like 2 players with 10 fouls each. Surely it's the severity of the foul that warrants the booking?

perhaps it's the lack off meat in his diet at FGR that's affected his reasoning and brain power...
