Yes all the top 4 or 5 have been bought and now OWNED by foreigners been prostituted around the world for financial gain and the English game is all the worse for it.

Due to the Premier League selling television rights all over the world of course.

The Premier League that Everton, being one of the 'big five' at the time, were one of the key founders of because they wanted a larger share of television money than other clubs.

What do you mean 'worse' for it? Some people would argue that the league is better than ever?

Surely as a football fan, you want to see the best players in the world? You don't get to see those every week if you go on pre-season trips to Margate.
Best players in the world? Our record in Europe is worse than ever since 1992 ? when sky came in and the foreigners.

Stop believing the hype you see on tv,

Leroy Lita may drive an Austin Martin but the standard of player is pitiful

The PL has seen the likes of Ronaldo, Suarez, Henry etc in recent seasons. Even now we have the likes of Aguero, Hazard and Silva.

Are those not some of the best players in the world?

Your missing the point, before these superstars played over here in the English league, our teams were winning more often in Europe than we do now.

I'm not saying there aren't good players there obviously is, bit there is al ot of average over paid shite too

Has there not always been some 'overpaid shite'?

Since the late 90's, we've had countless English sides in the Champions League final.

i think and maybe a bit biased that if that event in Belgium hadn't of happened, England would still be dominating and maybe my team along with Liverpool etc would have won even more and SKY might not have happened?

You know what I'm talking about. It's a much bigger competition now.

It's called the Champions League. I'm sure you're aware of it? The competition that you wet your pants over getting a chance at only to get your bottoms burnt off Villarreal and spent the next ten years crying and moaning about a perfectly correct referring decision

Naturally, were it not for the actions of Liverpool in Belgium there'd have been more opportunities to win a european cup during that particularly strong era.

However, I think the overall records for success by nation are skewed anyway - por ejemplo, the Madrid white royals won five of their ten in one go, whilst the competition was being established.

As an aside, I think it's already bloody daft. It's the "Champion's League" yet, for example, Glasgow Irish have already defeated* two champions, and now look unlikely to make the group stage as champions themselves!

Plus, there's a fair chance that either Glasgow Irish or Swedish Azul (also champions) could be in a group with sides who didn't even trouble their league's winner. Just seems a touch queer to me.

*Heard on ITV, probably innaccurate.

Like the sides that came 2nd , 3rd and 4th in England, Germany and Italy. Juve and Munchen could almost have declared at Christmas

The last three paragraphs made some decent points. You obviously are only concerned with the top paragraph as piddly wee Everton could've had their one time in the sunshine. Unfortunately for you lot, you're back under the rock really where you've always been. ;)
