Martinez will be free in the summer 2x FA Cup winner............managed a top 6 club in Everton.........etc
Midtable Everton and has experience with relegation if they want to get relegated to league one. They'd be better with a parrot than him. ;)

Of course they will, will be their cup final.
This was our Cup Final.

Playing Villa in the Championship does not compare.

Since the invention of colour television, the club of the city have had a better head-to-head record. You have only been relevant during the time when Queen Victoria was on the throne.

29-23 in Villa's favour since 1950 (the introduction of the first colour tv channel in the world), with 13 draws.

Looking on as a neutral surely Villa were pretty relevant when they won the League and the Euro Cup at the start of the eighties.

That was their cue to link an image of Dennis Mortimer holding the European Cup. It was only 34 years ago.

Loving the complete non-reply from El Guapo there.

That was the point, you hastily searched the year colour television was invented and individually counted each win, loss and draw.

Villa only take solace in comparing history with Birmingham City to mask over 30 years of mediocrity.

Well you go on about black & white photos, if Blues posted a pic of their only other major win it would be in those colours too

The one that we won at Villa Park in ’63 is beyond irrelevant. Nobody cares.

Well Bernstein has said "Issues are fundamental and do not lend themselves to compromise," and King has mentioned "recent communications between the owner and football board".

So yet again, thanks, Randy.

Just checked and you have to go back to the early to mid 70s to find the last time Villa were outside the top flight for more than a single season. I strongly suspect that is about the change. There is no way in hell I can see them coming back up within the next couple of seasons given the ridiculous turmoil they're currently in. Namely an owner that doesn't want them and who won't invest to get them back up, and managerless. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up doing a Wigan and go down to the 1st division.

Hearing Moyes might want the managers job too. Just when you think it couldn't get any worse.
