I think we're getting blue-ballsed again.

I'm gonna stop jinxing it by posting in here.

It's the news we were all waiting for wasn't it? Finding out who'll be going for a drink with Bootlegger etc.

I'm just wandering what the WST will do as their final revenge before scarpering. Someone will definitely leave a turd in one of the desks.

Waiting on FCA approval apparently. Everything else has been sorted.

Why would the trust be twats about it surely the takeover is in the best interests?

A number of people still think fan ownership is preferable to being owned by Ryan & Rob, and a number on the club & Trust board will be absolutely gutted to lose the power they hold with the club.

Our previous WST chairman, Pete Jones, is one in particular who has seemed very against the takeover from the off. I bet we wouldn't have even entertained it if he hadn't stood down.

We have similar problems with our trust or rather some fans who’d rather bathe their own dad than the trust taking over (no that is a serious quote from members of the counter trust organization).

I’d rather have the trust than Raj Singh but Hollywood over the trust, obviously.

Anyway if yous change your mind you know where we are, although some would still have Raj Singh in charge.

Are you really committed to this transaction? Are you really doing everything you can? Are you willing to do whatever it takes, to make it happen? We waited nearly 2 years for our takeover to go through, in the end we had to go bust and reform to get it through. Jus' sayin'...... :ds:

We are in the vinegar strokes now. Shares have been officially transferred.

Hard not to be pleased for Wrexham who, along with us, Pools, Chessie and Stockport must be one of the worst clubs to have followed for the past 10 years.

I see £2m has been injected immediately, any idea what that has gone to?

Pardon? We've gone out of business and had to play in farmers fields for 3 years to even get back to National North. Albeit that's in a 13 year time period.

It's risky in my view. I mean how much do they actually care. How long are they going to stick around and if they do decide to pull the plug so to speak what's going to be the financial impact on Wrexham.

Don't get me wrong I'd love someone like that to throw some money our way but I'd be always worried about if they get bored

Thats always the risk. For me I'm a little bit reassured that these are people with an actual public profile to maintain. If they are as good as their words we will be in a much better situation when they do move on. We are currently playing in the lowest level we've ever been (since going professional), and we don't own our own ground or training ground, so the only way is up really.

Good for Wrexham and I wouldn't have a single worry about the future with them in charge, these are global mega star personalities with well constructed reputations to maintain, it's an opportunity you simply don't pass up, unless you're the Pools chairman.

Only indication of immediate spends from the statement is £60k to the women's team.

I feel like Notts County could become the next Luton (in that they rise up to the championship from non league, not have massive bellend fans) and I'd expect the other mentioned clubs to be league clubs soon enough. As with us now, it's just a matter of when.

Being serious and putting rivalry to a side, that's the key for you I think. Can't see them being involved for long but I can't see you being left in a mess if it doesn't go well either. The main issue you have is making the most of it and getting your house in order day to day.

You've done better than most from big sell on clauses down the years (probably equaling this investment) and done little with it. Depends who's pulling the strings I suppose.

That last paragraph is key. They plan on hiring an experienced CEO for the job where in the past we've had a Kelloggs HR rep.

We seem to have struck incredibly lucky. Quite excited about the future, for the first time in a long time.

I certainly won't be watching the Netflix series. I'm still not over it.

Their lack of self-awareness and indifference to others suffering puts one in mind of the toff who's had endure a few days without his butler, while poor people starve on his doorstep......... :ds:

Exactly, all this “what if they get bored” is daft considering absolutely anything is better than what we currently have. A club with incompetent delusionists running it and we would be going out of business in the next few years at best. We don’t have a training ground and the stadium is falling apart. We have Dean Keates as manager.

But yeah, it’s REALLY time to worry now.
