A security company left it there. They're liable.
United willingly let the security company in in the first place.

The whole thing is extremely fucking embarrassing for United tbh.

One suspects the glee isn't about City finishing top 4, more United missing out and having no CL football for the second time in three seasons despite spending £290m net in the last five seasons. And had the situations been reversed, there would have been just as much glee, if not more, coming from the United fans on here.

Well, I think that sort of think is compulsory. It's not as if they've allowed their drug addicted brother round and got mad when they've found the heirlooms have been pinched.

No complaining about people having a dig. Just at those that have posted so much when they complain so often about the same thing, or run away and don't come on for a week.

The rumours suggest he is locked in a white room wearing a straightjacket. He somehow managed to smear "GIVE ME GOON COMEDY GOALS" on the padded walls in his own shit before security was increased.

It's a massively embarassing cock up for the security company, going to cost them massively. With the game being replayed tomorrow and the cup final this weekend I'll be interested to see what side Van Gaal picks.
I have a feeling the firm could be out of business before long.

They did carry out an inspection, that's what led to the matches being called off. Just because the device was found at an inconvenient time doesn't mean they wete incompetent.
They carried out the inspection AFTER they let tens of thousands of people in. If they'd have checked the stadium before it opened then it would've made more sense.

The 'package' has no explosives in it, therefore the security checks didn't find it. Not exactly suprising.
There's probably hundreds of other items that weren't bombs that the sniffer dogs also failed to find!

Of course they were inspecting when people were in the stadium, there's thousands of people entering the building. They're not going to check when nobody has been there apart from staff.

They checked the stadium with sniffer dogs on the morning of the game BEFORE they let people in in the routine search they do before every game. the dogs didn't find it as there were no explosives in it

They use that training device for a reason and if it has no explovises in it then it's not for the dogs training. It may have been placed in an area where the dogs can't get to train other members of security.

So the bloke from the security firm who United have aimed their guns at, has come out in response criticising the stewards who found it, calling their response "over the top".

"The mocked-up bomb had a small white label reading “training aid. If found contact SSMS” followed by the company’s phone number"

Getting back to football, Howe giving nothing away and it's all speculation at this point..But rumour goes that Howe has let several players who had Monday/Tuesday flights booked for their family holidays, to leave to take up those flights. Our squad for tomorrow will likely be a very odd mixture with several kids.

I thought you would have to start the same XI that was announced on Sunday, unless there are injuries. Seems logical and fair to me.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Its amazing. They don't seem to know that games do actually get postponed from time to time... This is not a unique situation in world football.

Have to play the same team? Wtf?

Well it is slightly unfair on Palace imo. United can now play their reserve against Bournemouth knowing they are out of CL race. If Palace were fighting for relegation they would have had to play their first team last Sunday.

Please remind me when was the last time one of the final games of the season was postponed?

Is the Premier League forum always like this?

That's something that's new, but it's not really relevant when it comes to the spluttering and amazement at whether tickets will be valid and how much compensation everyone wants to get.

It happens. It won't be the first time Bournemouth fans have carted up the country only to have the game called off late.

We've been to many games over the years that have been postponed; often due to weather when clubs have made every possible effort to get the game on. But to have it postponed by complete negligence and incompetence from one of the biggest and (you'd presume) best-run clubs in the world (And their partners) is a bit of a kick in the balls.

The fact Manchester United haven't even issued Bournemouth fans with an apology so as not to implicate themselves in this farce just adds to the contempt we have been treated with by them (Yet their fans are very quick to scramble around and get a ticket for some bloke from Sierra Leone with no attachment to the area or real attachment to the club).

Whilst they can't refund everyone their travel, it would been a nice gesture from such a financial giant to at least fund the supporters coaches for today. It wouldn't have helped me but it would have gone partway to helping people who spent the best part of £100, maybe more, at the weekend.

So Van Gaal has named the exact same starting eleven as he did on Sunday.

Four days before the cup final.

Agree with this. The whole thing just shows what a fucking shambles we are from the very top to the bottom at the moment.

The cold and clinical response with not a single mention of thought towards our lot does grate somewhat. Sure they don't want to say anything that might appear to accept any liability for the likely impending legal cases. And i dont expect nor am i especially bothered about getting anything for my expenses from Sunday. But if they could at least show a bit of sympathy and courtesy in their offical reaponses for their furthest traveling away fans of the season, that'd be something. But they don't give a toss.

Anyway, as for the team news it's more or less the same side as we named on Sunday, except we're only able to name 6 subs and one of them I've literally never heard of before. And I like to consider myself fairly knowledge on our youth. Our backup keeper is in goal so it's a chance for him to make a few stops and impress.

Our central midfield without Arter is pretty concerning, it'll get overrun for sure. King and Wilson have bags of pace if we can get them in a race, that's our only weapon.

Thank you to the fans of both #mufc and Bournemouth who have made the journey for tonight’s rearranged fixture – we really appreciate it.

That should do it?

It's the closest they've come, fair enough. Still can't quite bring themselves to mention Sunday though.. But I'm sure all those who have managed to trek back up there are being treated very well. I realise I'm probably sounding like a moaning old git now. I'm gutted I can't be there with them but that's my own work issue.
