So, with the re-signings (and signings) made so far, how's your team shaping up so far.

Cole
RB Jones Ricketts LB
RM
Poku Murtagh Goddard
Rendell Sole

Hamann (sub GK)

So only 3 positions needed to fill, with Mc Nerney/Clarke/Thomas possibly returning depending on getting an offer elsewhere. Looks a lot better than I thought it would a few weeks ago, Garry's done a good job to keep the majority of the squad together. Some of the above re-signing and one or two further signings/loans and it could be a very promising season for us again.

and Sunter (CD), Bastock (GK), Venny (CM) all first year pros.

Just waiting on Magnay and Nsiala. If they both sign we really just need a couple strikers (maybe 3), winger and versatile defender. If they don't add a RB and central defender to the list.

in addition to some other youth players. We still need a minimum of 2 goalkeepers, a left back, a centre back (Williams is a youth player who is yet to make a league appearance) and another midfielder or two (depending on if Green stays), and all on half of last season's budget.

Definitely need to shore up our midfield, Rooney's in there at the moment for me but he is a bit lightweight to carry much responsibility there, he and McConville will have a job keeping up with Thomson who I'm hoping will flourish next season, there's some considerable potential in him. Kingsley James is out of contract and hasn't signed but hasn't ruled out doing so, he has some family issues which are taking precedent for him at the moment. Matty Hughes could fill the left midfield slot if he signs, again, has given some indications he may do so but talking to other clubs as well right now.

We don’t need to do much business really, squad just needs fine tuning rather than an overhaul to build on last season’s top half finish.

Peniket out until December but signed.

Youth:
Hibbs, Hillhouse

Stands (hopefully): Hattersley

Would expect another centre half to come in, Jamey Osborne from Hednesford in midfield and a couple of strikers. Expect to re-sign Smith or another winger because with Macdonald stepping up 4 league, hope it's not all on his shoulders.

Two players not on the list are Bobby Dale and Jack Munns.

Players in bold are on the transfer-list, but I've put together what I think is our best XI at the moment (admittedly having never seen Storer or Morgan-Smith). Other players on the list are Matt Taylor and Jamal Lawrence.

We have Eliot Richards and Asa Hall to come back in the summer as well and they will be given a chance to prove themselves. Hall was out for all but 4 mins of last season and Richards missed the last few games due to being diagnosed with testicular cancer.

Still a lot of work required.

Not sure what formation Brabin will use but i think it will be a 352. still got players who we have offered contracts to : Koumas, Holmes,Hill and Laird to be honest i hope Holmes doesn't sign, hes been one of our better players the last two seasons but this just shows how bad we have been, would love hill to re-sign he would be the best fullback in the league, he had a bad injury that kept him out for most of the last season. Koumas would probably be the best player in this division if he keeps fit (said this last season ) Laird am not to fussed on don't rate him at all.

As for the first 11, I've watched Norwood a few times and he has looked good, the other new signings i have never seen before. Ihiekwe is still young an has alot of potential, Jennings is hot an cold but i think he will have a good season with runners beside him. Ridehalgh alot of our fans don't rate him but i think he would be best suited playing wing back better getting forward than he is defensively.Stockton Make or brake this season for me Cole has the potential to score 20+ will it be this season tho ?

Expect 3 or 4 more permanent signings then a few loans. GK, RB, LB, RW, LW, ST

We are also waiting on answers from Andy Coughlin (GK) and Connor Jennings (CF), Mills has said he wants 2 attacking players (will be 3 if Jennings goes) and possily another midfielder

I hope Holmes does sign, best player last season [admittedly not saying much] and does seem to care about the club. Ihiekwe shows promise as a central defender, but should never ever be let anywhere near the right-back slot again. Would also like Koumas to stay. Neutral about Laird or Hill, the only time I saw the latter when he came back from injury was the Bury game, when he kept playing suicidal balls back inside rather tarnishing the positive pre-injury perception of him.

A couple of the first-year pros Gumbs and Duggan should also be in contention.

Still need an experienced keeper and a wide player with pace as an absolute minimum.

We have a near full squad I reckon.

Goalkeepers

Preston Edwards
Brandon Hall

Defenders

Joe Howe, Aiden Palmer, Matt Fish, Kelvin Langmead, Tom Bonner, Lloyd Harrington and Anthony Acheampong.

Midfielders

Sean Shields, Dean Rance, Matt Johnson, Stuart Lewis, John - Paul Kissock, Jordan Parkes, Theo Lewis and Michael West.

Attackers

Adam Cunnington, Charlie Sheringham, Danny Kedwell, Matty Godden, Alex Osborn, and Tyrone Marsh.

Not sure if I'm missing any or not! Think Harrington, Marsh, T Lewis and Osborn will be loaned out. No idea how long Sheringham is out for either. Probably until near December!

Reckon another Centre Back, winger and striker and that's us done. Our midfield has been our weakest link the past two seasons. Looking very strong so far, on paper. We also have some youth players on first team contracts I think.

We've got enough for a first XI but we have 5 or 6 young lads making up the numbers at the minute. Best stab would be (going down the 4-4-2 line, which we're apparently doing):

Farman

Wood
Beevers
Brown
Bush

?
Power
Nolan
Muldoon

Hearn
Rhead

Subs are a bunch of kids with Miller and Bencherif still having contracts on the table.

Improvement needed to be half decent.

Still a wide midfielder short but with what we have I would go

Farman

Wood Waterfall Beevers Bush

Muldoon Power Stanley Tempest*

Rhead Hearn

*Doubt Tempest will be in the first 11 come August as hopefully Dan Bradley will be in.

Beevers at CB, haha, no, just no. We may as well just resign any chance of being competitive now if that happens.

Rhead and Hearn up front is going to be the interesting one as a partnership. Could catch fire or could absolutely bomb.

Our squad is beginning to take shape (albeit quite slowly!).
So far signed on:
Smith
Oastler Saville McGinty Barker
RM CM CM Richards
ST ST

Barry Smith seems to building from the back, but we currently have no forwards or centre midfielders signed on!
Hoping Brett Williams, Jordan Roberts, Damon Lathrope and Tristan Plummer all sign on, along with Jim Stevenson who we've offered a contract to. Get a couple of new faces in too and I reckon we could have a strong squad this year, hopefully top half and maybe even pushing for play-offs.

Following the signing that's meant happening Monday I dont think we'll be signing anymore players until the manager has at the trialists we've got coming in. Hoping they are bringing some forwards or wide players on trial, we're a bit short there. Always the potential to bring in long term loans again.

Bush and Beevers swapped would still be atrocious at CB. I'd even have Nat Brown over Bush at CB but hey, the buffoon of a manager obviously likes him.

Still very concerned if that's all the signings done after Bradley on Monday. Absolutely no depth but I guess you can't have it both ways with our middle-of-the-road budget.

I quite like our recruitment. A few experienced conference winners who hopefully are not over the hill yet. Think the defence looks ok, my concern is up top if Hearn gets crocked early, which is fairly likely lets face it!

Our team is already looking a lot stronger with the signings of Shaw and Hannah. If, as suggested, we do sign Ian Sharps then I think he will be third choice CB.

With a few reasonable back up players to cover injuries etc and a good LB and LM I think we'll have a team more than capable of finishing higher than last seasons 12th.

Agree r.e. Beevers at CB.

Now Waterfall's signed, I'd take Beevers out of CB and perhaps move him to LB. Waterfall, on paper, looks like the only half decent CB in the squad at the minute unless Bencherif signs or someone else does.

Brown just scares the life out of me and Beevers wasn't great at CB when he was here either.

With the signing of Martin Riley from Mansfield today, our squad is currently:
GK: Sam Ramsbottom, Luke Pilling.
DEF: Marcus Holness, Michael Iheikwe, Liam Ridehalgh, Richie Sutton, Liam Hogan, Martin Riley, Evan Gumbs.
MID: Steve Jennings, Jay Harris, Lois Maynard, Jake Kirby, Ben Jago, Mitch Duggan.
ATT: James Norwood, Cole Stockton, George Donnelly, Liam Davies.
*Bold = new signing
*Italics = 1st year pro 2015/16
6 new signings and a new contract for Steve Jennings means the spine of the side is coming along now. We still need a first choice 'keeper, at least 1 more striker, a couple of wide men and a left back, but all in all we don't look in bad shape. Brabin has said he wants more goals, but hasn't given any indication as to a formation.

Literally no idea if that's a good squad or not. It feels like it is from others' feedback though.
